What are the best visa options for a family looking to stay in Thailand long-term?

Hi everyone! I am posting anonymously as my work situation is uncertain and I do not want to share it with colleagues and others who know me.

We are a family of 3 and I am currently on work visa while my partner and child are on dependent visa. We are looking at plan B options as we want to remain in Thailand for another year at the bare minimum. So, I am reaching out to you:

1) if anyone tried the Long-Term Resident Visa (as highly skilled professional) and could share your experience?

2) which visa options you tried in a similar situation.

Any advice would help at this point

A user is seeking advice on visa options to extend their stay in Thailand with their family. They are currently on a work visa and their partner and child are on dependent visas. They inquire about experiences with the Long-Term Resident Visa, along with other potential visa options. Comments from the community suggest various avenues including the DTV, Thai Wife Visa, Retirement Visa, and the importance of having a job for the Long-Term Resident Visa.

You need to have a job for the LTR option you propose plus meet the other requirements. You can't work in Thailand on a DTV. Seems to me your best option is to find another job that will support a Non-B and Work Permit

recommend THAI WIFE visa if under 50, else RETIREMENT VISA. if you have enough funds: ELITE for you and your wife (with dependents)

Have you looked at the DTV? Gives 5 year multi entry and allows spouse and kids to get a dependent visa.
