Hi. I applied for basic 60 day tourist e visa on 1st Oct 2025. Its 15 days later and still waiting om pending (1)..I've applied many times before and always took about 4 working days . I know we get exemption but I went for 60 days in June and July this year as well as Nov Dec last year so the immigration moaned at me for coming too many times and to get a thai wife. I actually got married to thai girl during that stay. In June. I only need 60 day tourist visa. I cannot contact the embassy in anyway phoning or emails and trying the fb messengers now. Which fb messenger is best for a reply? Thank you.

I’ve re-entered thailand 3 times with the DTV visa over the course of 7 months. I am under softpower scheme: And I made a video sharing my experience with immigration 🙂

The last time I made a detailed step by step video guide on how i compile and submit my docs for the dtv application and it helped soooo many people! So I hope my video helps, especially for those who are wondering what happens after you finish 6 months of muay thai etc under the soft power scheme

Hi all!

I just received an update on my application asking me for further documents:

"Since application would get 5 years-visa, please provide the letter of explanation of your plan/ project for the next 5 years in Thailand"

I'm applying from Belgium under soft power (thai cuisine).

I already wrote a cover letter explaining my plans during the 12-month course (which was merged with my bank statements- maybe they haven't seen it?). I'm a professional chef wanting to master Thai cuisine, its cultural background etc.

Seems a bit too much to say I'm going to apply for four other 12-month cooking classes...

I was planning on saying I'd like to explore all regions and thus, need more than one year to learn all regional dishes... Which is true btw.

They don't seem to be asking how I'll sustain myself..

Any thoughts?

Thank you, this group has already been very helpful!!!

Finally it's my turn to get my DTV approved.

I used Issa Compass as my agent as I don't want to go through all the process with stress - but at the end it was still quite stressful. A week before I leave Thailand, I uploaded all documents which the agent asked for.

1/10 - I left Thailand, fly back to Hong Kong coz I'm HK resident. Uploaded my boarding pass to them on the same day;

2/10 - They submitted my DTV application;

3/10 - They asked for additional document (the ID copied of the HR manager from my remote job and the BR of my company), submitted on the same day;

14/10 - They found out name of the HR manager on the employment contract is not exactly the same like on her ID copied, so they asked for a proof that they are the same person, so I sent them the proof on the same day;

15/10 - I get my DTV approved!

I was a bit unlucky that 1/10 and 7/10 were public holiday in HK so it took longer than it should be? Deducted the holiday and weekend, it took 9 working days (longer than I expected).

Conclusion: If you are not a HK resident, really there is no point to apply from HK. I wanted to save money so I stayed with my parent's apartment but still everything else is insanely expensive. If i can choose again, definitely I will apply from Vietnam. More, probably I will not use agent again, they actually help you to check your document and submission. If you are a detail person you can do as good as the agent and you can always see the status directly from Thai e-visa system instead of waiting for the agent to inform you the status. I doubt if they really submit the stuff immediately and check the status closely.

Hi, will I be accepted on my partners DTV if we are engaged and have children together? I’m getting mixed messages about this. We have been together for 10 years and have children, bought a house together etc.

Or is it strictly only accepted as a dependent on his visa if we are officially married? Thank you

Hey all, so for my multiple entry tourist visa I had to add a document ( they said so by email ) but I'm still waiting for them to "approve" the visa and while that's going on I can't add the extra document I have... I'm leaving in 10 days so maybe I should just make a new visa with all the info + the document I have and pay another 170 euro... ( I started the process 15 days ago )

Went to Kasikorn bank yesterday and got my letter from them and my updated pass book after 1 transaction and my bank statement. 30 mins and no problems. Today I went to immigration for the purpose of obtaining my years extension of stay following on from my non o visa. 3 hours waiting in the queue and 30 mins for the immigration officer to process the paperwork. No problems. No Agent used. MEV also attained. Everything went smoothly and now sorted. Just info for Everyone , if you do things correctly, it's a doddle. Good luck to all.
