I am currently on a non-O work visa as a teacher, and I have resigned. My visa well go back to tourist and I am leaving the country in December and returning on a tourist visa. My plan is to move out of the country in May. Here is my question. I will be traveling to Sri Lanka just shy of my 60 days back in the country. Then I will be back in the country until 11 April and out for a few days in Cambodia, then back here for about 30 days before I leave for good. I am worried about the two entry rules. Should I do an extension on my first tourist visa right before I leave for Sri Lanka and then come back in on a 60 day visa, and then still be able to return from Cambodia on a tourist visa before I leave for good? I hope this makes sense. 😂

Does anyone have experience of the Jomtien office? I am aged over 60 and have a non O visa (issued in London) for single entry 90 days but can only stay for 56 days as I need to go back to London for some appointments. If I deposit the 800,000 funds in advance of arrival, and so have the funds on deposit for the necessary 2 months, what chance is there that the Jomtien office would accept an early application for a retirement extension after only 45-50 days after arrival.

However, since I currently plan to spend only 3-5 months per year in Thailand and never spend more than 60 days per visit, I think it will probably be simpler just to return on visa exemptions or another O visa when needed.

Okay here's a question. My friend is here in Thailand he's going to leave to Hong Kong. He is a UK resident and want to apply for a 90-day non-o Visa in Hong Kong. Is that fine or does he have to go back to the UK since that is where his passport is from?

TDAC address not on the form

Hi

Update, resolved. I deleted and re entered all the data and it worked.

—————————

Have tried 3 times to complete the address for my stay in Thailand but it’s greyed out. Completed and secured a number and have tried to update but the same problem.

Have they changed the process or just a failure of the system?

It’s my home so have documents but don’t want hassle on arrival

Hi folks my wife and Daughter are from Loas Pakse and we like to go Thailand shopping, restaurants, macDs, night markets, my wife and Daughter travel freely though I have to watch how many times I cross the boarder I normally spend 100,000 bhat per visit, then return visa to Loas, I ask Thai immigration 30 days is ok for me but they laughed, is this a deliberate action as they introduced the 60 Visa ? Now I bought return tickets , and tickets to Ubon , booked hotel, makes me feel conned by Thailand. My thoughts now I booked another way to Loas , there loss of a good Traveller with a few quid.

Has anyone had their Digital nomad DTV accepted using sponsored funds from their parents at the embassies in any neighbouring countries?

Looking to apply for Laos but unsure on the situation.

Thanks

Hi. I have a rather urgent question. I'm already on DTV under workcation. I'm an employee for a US company. So my application that I submitted to the Thai Embassy included my employment contract and also the authorization letter from my boss. And so Thailand therefore has the name of the company I work for on record. Having worked in Thailand as an employee of a US company, could the Thai Revenue Department argue that the company has a Permanent Establishment (PE) in Thailand and therefore will want to go after them for payment of any Thai corporate income taxes?
