DTV Application – “Pending Approval” stage: how close am I to approval?

Hi everyone, I’m posting anonymously just to get some reassurance and to help anyone else going through the same process.

I applied for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) through the London Embassy. A few days after submitting, I was asked to provide extra documents including a clearer passport scan, proof of funds showing at least £11,000, my company registration confirming my name and position, and a letter confirming that I’ll be working remotely for my UK business and not doing any work in Thailand.

I’ve now submitted everything they asked for, including a signed client letter confirming my remote work setup and UK income, plus bank proof showing well over the required amount.

Today my online status has changed from “Pending Document Check” to “Processing – Pending Approval.”

Does anyone know if that means I’m basically through and just waiting for it to be issued, or is there still a chance it could be rejected at this stage?

Thanks in advance — this group has been a huge help throughout the DTV process.

Switching banks for non-O visa.

I am currently on a Non-O visa based on age (Bangkok Immigration) and plan to switch banks. I want to ensure the process goes smoothly without disrupting my visa status.

Planned steps:

1. Transfer 400,000 THB from the old bank to the new bank six months into my current extension.

2. Once the first transfer is confirmed, transfer another 400,000 THB.

Documents I plan to prepare for visa renewal:

a. Old Bank:

• Bank letter confirming the account.

• Bank statement showing both transfers (up to the day after the second transfer).

• Updated bank book showing the balance after the second transfer.

b. New Bank:

• Bank letter confirming the account.

• Bank statement starting from the day before the two transfers to show the incoming funds and balance of 800K at least 3 months before the extension date.

• Updated bank book showing the balance as of the visa renewal date.

I guess my question are:

1. Do i need to keep the old bank open until the extension renewal, or showing the overlap of transactions between old and new bank is good enough? (Will not keep old bank)

2. Which banks have a branch in Chaeng Wattana where I can update my Bank book (I heard Kasikorn closed their branch there).

Thank you

# DTV (Workation) Approved in 5 Days 🇸🇬

Application with Royal Thai Embassy, Singapore

Nationality: Singapore

Everyone told me *not* to apply for my visa in Singapore because of the high rejection rate. But I decided to go ahead since I already had all the required documents on hand.

For context, I work remotely for a Singapore-registered company, so it was easy to retrieve documents like the official business profile (ACRA), letter from employer, and payslips (which matched the credited salary in my bank statements).

## Application Timeline

Applied: 3 November 2025 (1:30PM)

Additional Document Request: 3 November 2025 (3:30PM)

Provided Additional Documents: 3 November 2025 (5PM)

Status Updated to Pending Document Check: 3 November 2025 (after submitting additional documents)

Status Updated to Pending Approval: 3 November 2025 (around 6:30PM)

Approved: 7 November 2025

## Documents Provided

1. Passport valid for at least 6 months

Provided photo of passport's biographical data page.

2. Photograph taken within the last 6 months

4. Document indicating current location in Singapore and Planned accommodation in Thailand

* Submitted email confirmation of my SG arrival card (from ICA).

* Provided address of my lease in Thailand on the application portal (there was no field to upload the rental agreement).

5. Letter from company to explain the nature of work in Thailand and allow you to work remotely from Thailand to be sign by authorized person and company’s seal

* Provided a letter from my HR department explaining that our company operates remotely across various locations and does not have operations in Thailand.

* Included my full name (as per passport), passport number, NRIC number, duration of employment, job scope, and acknowledgment of my intention to work remotely in Thailand.

* Added an HR contact email in case they want to further verify my employment.

6. Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcase digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status.

Provided my signed employment contract and confirmation letter from when I passed probation 3 years ago (both signed via DocuSign).

7. Proof of salary slip/monthly income

Uploaded last 3 months of payslips from my HR portal.

8. Business Profile from ACRA (issue not more than 3 months) or Company Registration Documents

9. Financial Evidence: Bank saving statements balance at least 500,000 THB (Around 20,000 SGD) for the past 3 months

Submitted 3 months of bank statements showing at least 500,000 THB balance *every month*.

## ADDITIONAL Documents

1. Photograph taken within the last six months

Resubmitted a photo wearing a t-shirt.

2. Letter from Company

## Overall Experience

The process was *much smoother* than I expected. Many friends advised against applying in Singapore due to stricter requirements and high rejection rate.

I initially contacted a visa agency to help me but they discouraged applying here (recommended Vietnam and Indonesia) and warned there would be no money-back guarantee for applications processes in Singapore if rejected.

I went ahead independently since I had all my documents ready and it turned out fine.

If you’re thinking of applying in Singapore, my advice is: be extremely meticulous. Double-check every requirement, ensure all files are clear and complete, and don’t give them any reason to reject your application.

Huge thanks to everyone for contributing in this group. Your posts really helped me prepare my documents. I read through so many threads to make sure I knew what I was doing. 🙏

All the best, and good luck to everyone applying!

Hi, I applied for my 90-day report online, but it was rejected one day before the due date. I then went to immigration, and they told me to transfer my visa from my old passport to my new one first (since I had recently renewed my passport). It took me two days to complete all the required documents because I also needed a letter from my embassy. Yesterday, I finally went to transfer my visa, and I asked the 90-day counter to give me a token — even if it was the last one — so I could complete my 90-day report after the visa transfer. However, they told me to finish the transfer process first. I completed it around 5:30 p.m. Now my question is: will I be fined since it’s already been five days past the 90-day reporting deadline?

Although at Suvarnabhumi Airport Immigration it stated for you to prepare documents, passport Visa boarding pass and TDAC.

I presented the first three, and the TDAC was never asked for, I had my phone out in preparation.

,I received 41.9 Thai baht to GBP, all three kiosks were the same.

So Super Rich is no better than the others, and next time I will consider transferring all my spending money by wise, and not bring some cash to transfer.

or I will take some Thai Baht home for my next visit, just to get me through to my home in Korat.

I'm sure I saw 42.2 buying and 39.1 selling, but on checking my receipt it was 41.9.

I understand that the 90 day reporting must be done in person for the very first time, however, in my situation I travel outside of Thailand every couple of months which resets my 90 days and therefore I will never have to go to immigration to report in person. Any issues with this, i.e. never completing the first reporting at an immigration office in person? TIA

Please could someone advise how to apply for a new British passport, with out having to go to Bangkok as we live in Issarn. Also would you need to go to the immigration to transfere any valid extensions, from your old passport to your new one, and when would be the best time scale to apply for new passport, before your old one expires.

Many thanks in advance.
