I did my drinving license 2 years ago on a tourist visa (still have tourist) and wanted to get the renewal done for the 5 year one so i can get an IDP. They say with a tourist visa you can only extend for another 2 years, not 5 - therefore they wont give an IDP. Anz idea on how i can get an IDP from thailand with a tourist visa? And if not, any idea which visa would be fast to acquire so i can make an IDP? Thanks

Hey all,

I have read through several posts, both from users and mods about not exiting, even with re-entry permit on an non immigrant ED visa (for studying Thai language or those types of courses) due to several people being denied entry via DMK/Suvarnabhumi or any entry through air.

Most of these posts were from the Covid days or 2023 and older ([members only]/)

Are there any recent reports (last few months/weeks) of anyone who has non immigrant ED visa -extended several times, has re-entry permit stamped, and getting back into Thailand through land border successfully?

I simply want to see if there are any new updates regarding this.

Thank you in advance 🙏🏽

I would appreciate some advice from someone who recently issued a visa -

what size passport photo do I need to bring and what is the background?

I will need to bring a marriage certificate because I have a joint account - is a notary needed or is an English marriage certificate sufficient?

Hi! For those applying from non-English speaking countries, what's the right way to translate documents for the visa? Do they need to be certified or notarized? Any recommendations? Thanks a lot!

Hello all! We are looking for people in a similar situation. Both my wife and I collect pension, roughly 284,000 THB per month combined, not including outside sources of income. We started working with Bangkok Buddy as a visa / travel agent, but after hours of research into the subject we are lost.

Quick bio of our situation, we are both U.S. Military Veterans with 3 children, we would like to put them in an international school, however we must figure out our visa situation before applying. Another thought that may be important to take into consideration with Visas, (having a Thai employee, aka Nanny). We are both in our 20’s so we don’t hit that 50yr mark quite yet lol.

For the expats in similar situations, did you stick to Thailand or move from country to country every 90 days? Please help us navigate this 🙏🏻 Thanks ya’ll!

I reported 90 days approximately 90 days go.

During that time I left Thailand and came back 3 weeks ago.

Do I need to go and report or should I do 90 days after my last entry to Thailand?

Anyone have the experience and can tell?🙏🏻
