Two topics.

1) this is a follow up from my marriage visa renewal where I went from seasoned account balance to income based verification. The bank REFUSED to give me the report (it's been a month, I forget the name) saying the source of the funds was overseas. The branch in my town admitted (which was a surprise) they had no idea and had never done it and the branch where I opened the account told the local guy to fuck off. I brought some other report that just showed the deposits and it was accepted. So good news, but also irritating.

2) has anyone here ever visited the SEZ in Laos across from Sop Ruak? It doesn't seem like the casinos have websites, or maybe it's just the virtue signalling layer of Google hiding them.

I'm new here. On September 16th 2025, I applied for a Non Immigrant Business (B) Visa, to attend and present at a conference in BKK. Till date, my application is stuck at Pending Approval. Any idea what could be the cause of the delay?

Travel date is Oct 24th, 2025

I’m going to apply for a Thai non-ed visa at the embassy in Vientiane. I’m aware of the new method of submitting documents online then paying in person. Does anyone have knowledge of how long this typically takes? Website says 5-10 days but I’m hoping maybe that’s a conservative estimate. If anyone has done this recently, please let me know how long it took

After reading this I followed this link below and found out every time you leave your home to travel around Thailand you will have to redo the TM30 when you get back..

Seems like a lot of reporting to do if like myself I plan to be getting around a lot🤔

As there is NO Thai embassy in Scotland only a consulate , so if you require a visa of any kind you must go through the Thai Embassy in London. I'm now 70 years of age and my wife is 65 . Help! Applying for a (necessary) METV and have a genuine flight booking into the country but unsure when I'm booking a return trip out at the moment. Can I use one of those dummy tickets as proof of ticket out ? If not does anyone know the cheapest refundable airline ticket...this is soooo stressful! Helpful advice only please 😜🙏

Recently exited / re-entered Thailand (workcation) with interesting experiences.

My wife, who is a follower on my DTV exited and re-entered about 10 days after me.

I left for Bali, stayed 8 days, and upon re-entry, the officer was a little puzzled how I extended in-country for my first extension. She asked a colleague, verified, let me through. Easy.

My wife left for Bali, stayed 7 days, and upon re-entry was asked “how long do you plan to stay?”

Wife: “180 days”

Officer: *rolls eyes* “and what is your work?”

Wife: “I’m a stay at home mom, a follower on my husband’s visa.”

Officer: *rolls eyes again, frustrated* “You’re already been in Thailand for one year. And you want to keep doing like this?”

Wife: “yes.”

Officer: “fine.” *final eye-roll”

I applied for the Thailand DTV visa under the self-employed/business category in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I submitted all the required documents on Monday, 6th October 2025

Today, the consulate requested my company’s financial statements for FY 2024. I’ve already provided my personal bank statements as well as my company’s account statements from India and Canada, so I’m not sure why they need the previous year’s financials as well.

I was feeling quite confident about my application since I had all the necessary documents prepared, but now I’m a bit anxious about this new request.

Hello everyone! I’ll be applying for the DTV visa soon from America/ Washington DC embassy. I only have 1 month (2 months tops from the date of my flight) proof of bank statements with 500,000 TBH.

I’m commission based and can’t show steady monthly income but I have a big chunks of change come in sporadically.

Wondering:

How strict is the 3 month bank statements requirement?

Will I automatically get denied if I only send in 1 month?

If so, what visa should I apply for instead for a long term stay for someone under 50?
