Hi. Here's a weird one. I mistyped my address on my retirement extension. 163 instead of 162. It was approved anyway. An assistant told me I need to get the residency slip in my passport updated before I left. I did that. Am I good to go? I want to ensure this issue doesn't bite me later and I'm thrown out of the country or something.

Changing to E-visa is one of the best thing we should all be happy about because if they is missing documents they don’t just reject you. They will tell you to submit them with an email. In person once you submit your documents and something is missing the chances of getting rejected where very high and you would lose the application fees . E-visa they will let you submit every document until approval , they can let you submit missing documents 4-5 times they don’t even mind until all documents are enough

Hi All,

Does anyone know if remote United Nations work would classify for a DTV? Had a look around but couldn't find any specific information.

I have been issued a non O-A (retirement) visa from Canada - once the documentation was submitted it took only 1 working day to get approved!

My wife (also Canadian) and I will arrive into Krabi early November.

As this is my first time arriving with this type of visa, what will I need to present to the immigration officer at the airport - I want to be sure to have everything close at hand. I assume the printed O-A visa, valid passport, Health Insurance certificate?....anything else?

Also, my wife does not qualify for her own O-A visa, so she will apply for a non O in Thailand as a trailing spouse/depentant - is the marrage certificate all thats required for the non O for her?

Thank you for your help.

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how long the 500,000 THB needs to be in my bank account before applying for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Jakarta? Any insights would be much appreciated!

Good Evenings Ladies & Gents i was at Phuket immigration this afternoon & the two helpful Volunteers said they had been told it's 10,000b to do an extension on a DTV visa with them at immigration...

So I guess we'll have to wait and see come Mid January or February when the first lot people decide which option to Take...

As I thought read within this group it would be the standard 1,900b extension fee...

Wish y'all a great evening...

All Thai banks refused to open a bank account with a DTV visa. It’s really hard to believe how they operate. Even though you can open a bank account with a visa on arrival, they have no policy for opening accounts with a DTV, which is a long-term visa. It is very disappointing to me. They still don’t accept me, even though I explained the DTV thoroughly to their bank manager 😭
