Got my visa approved via Sydney embassy while in Aus (I’m Australia) after being on multiple tourist/education visas over the past few years. I applied for workcation, with a combination of employment in my father’s company and my own business/freelance work. I only transferred the proof of funds money in a couple days before application, but I submitted two letters from my father saying he would sponsor me (1 as my part-time employer and 1 as my father so both grounds were covered based on info I found via searching this group). Just wanted to share this here bc this group helped SO MUCH. Turn around was about 1-2 weeks. 🤯😍🌻🎉 Thank you so much to everyone who supplied info in here, and sending much love to those struggling with their apps (I was SO anxious when/about applying so I really feel for those getting knocked back/feeling understandably confused etc ❤️🙏).

I'm about to apply for a Workcation DTV from the Los Angeles Consulate. I have all of my documents together. My question is should I create one large pdf of all of the documents together to submit everything at once or do I submit each document separately? i.e. passport biodata page, driver's license, employment certification and 6 months of bank statements. Thanks.

I'm applying for a DTV in Canada and the page where you upload your documents won't let me load the pdf I've created for my financials. All the other docs load ok. I've deleted and restarted the application several times, same problem. The file is 950kb, so under the 3mb allowed. Anyone have any suggestions? It's frustrating as i need to get my application in asap. Appreciate it.

Hey everyone, I’m about to rent a condo in Bangkok and wanted to check what’s standard practice here.

The agent told me: • I need to pay first month’s rent + security deposit (2 months) before the landlord will sign the lease. I paid the first month rent online to hold down my apartment • She said the landlord typically only signs once all money is received. • Alternatively, she suggested I could bring cash on move-in day, pay her directly, and then get the signed contract + keys together.

Back in London, I’m used to signing first, then paying, so I just want to make sure this is normal in Bangkok and that I’m not putting myself at risk.

Questions: 1. Is it standard here for the landlord to hold back their signature until the tenant has paid everything? 2. If I pay the agent (not the landlord directly), what’s the safest way to make sure I’m protected — e.g., should I insist on a written receipt right away? 3. On move-in day, should I expect to walk away with both keys and a fully signed lease?

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has rented long-term in Bangkok recently. 🙏

It has been made ABSOLUTELY clear to me, by my local Thai embassy (Manila), that for one to apply for a DTV, one is required to show evidence of regular income, over and above the half a million baht in one's bank account.

Obviously, if one has a regular income, one would probably use that fact to apply as a "digital nomad", rather than under the "cultural activity" or "medical" categories, so this visa seems to be a farce!

Border run #2 22.8.25

Drove to vientiane border from pattaya, drank 1 drink and came back to Thailand. When I left Thailand the IO lady was looking at the computer quite a few moments, I didnt ask why but I was thinking because I did my TDAC 5minutes before going to her 🤔

When I got back, the IO wanted to tell me that my visa is DTV and I will get 180days, that was quite funny, that was all the conversation we had 😆 never experienced explaining before, for 4years

Why I post is the budget;

Car 700thb

Gas 2500thb (honda city)

Laos visa 1700thb(+100thb because i forgot to take passport picture) thats $52 if you pay with dollars its $40

Leave your car next the 711 parking lot, 50thb. Tuktuk to bus station 50thb (i offered he accepted), bus 30thb each way

Thats a total of 5160thb for another 180days. And about 24h of time (had 2 of us, each driving one way)

I also got a speeding ticket of 1000thb, they set a trap at the mountain speedlimit lowered to 40 (altho same time says cars 60, who knows) when we were rolling down only using break 😅, a lot of fog so cant see much, i was following car ahead of me because i could see the lights, for "some reason" they looked at him and let him go and picked me 🤣

Also got picket at 1 of the 6 big stops we encountered...

"ooh.... silence.... you speak thai? -mai"

"what you name? -Toni"

"where you go? -pai Chon Buri"

"Ok pa"

Hi All,

I applied for the DTV visa on Tuesday the 19th and received approval today (Friday the 22nd).(The Hague Dutch Embassy)

I submitted all the required documents, but they emailed me twice asking for additional info. In response, I added the KvK registration to the signed remote work letter from my employer. I also provided 6 months of salary statements.

Regarding the 500k THB requirement, I only had that amount in my account since last month, and it was accepted.

For any questions, feel free to DM me or ask here.

Good luck to everyone applying! 🙏

Hello everyone, I applied for a Thailand tourist visa from Bangladesh on 29th July through the official Thailand visa website, but my application status still shows ‘Processing’. Has anyone faced a similar delay or knows the usual processing time? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!
