Will a temporary dip below 500k baht affect my partner's DTV application?

Hi guys, apologies if this has been asked before.

I am writing on behalf of my partner. She is applying for the DTV, her account balance has dipped slightly below the 500k baht minimum a few times over the last few months, applying today's FX rates. Will this be a problem? Otherwise, we will make sure her final ending balance when she applies will be significantly well above the 500k baht requirement. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The applicant is concerned about meeting the financial criteria for the DTV visa, specifically the requirement for a minimum account balance of 500,000 baht. While some commenters emphasize that only the final balance matters, others note that different consulates may have varying rules, with some requiring the balance to be over 500k for several months. It is critical to verify the specific requirements of the consulate where the application will be submitted.

You definitely need an ending balance over 500k baht everywhere but some want to see that every month for 3 months or longer. Other consulates stipulate the amount in the local currency which might not equate to 500k exactly

It depends where you are applying. Some consulates (such as London) don't need to see 500k for months, only at the end.

You’re financial gymnastics are none of their concerns

They only want to see the correct amount in a acct that’s readily accessible for the seasoned period of time

If you do it wrong and hit submit you just donated ฿10k no refunds

Good Luck on your financial gymnastics
