That’s absolutely correct. I live in Australia. The maximum amount of cash money, I’m allowed to travel with, is $10,000AUS. Anything over, needs to be declared. Reason being, customs are cracking down on laundered money. I’m unaware of the limits, if any, when entering Thailand?

Don’t stress. If you’re a genuine tourist, you’ll be fine. I’ve just returned from my 5th visit in 13 months. Each time, staying for around 3 weeks. Just before Christmas, walked through immigration without a question asked. I’m planning on returning in April.
