Question to United Kingdom citizens who have already applied for a DTV visa

I’ve got an issue with the application form. When I fill in the home address, I choose United Kingdom as the country, and in the “City” section the website asks me to choose between England, Scotland, Wales, etc. — I can’t just type my city name there. So I select “England.” But then, when I finish the application form and get to the point where I’m ready to click the PROCEED TO PAYMENT button, I check the application form preview, and the “City” section is empty.

Extension based on marriage question.

I just returned to Thailand on August 21st using my re-entry permit. My last TM.47 (90-day report) expired on August 20th.

Since I don’t need to submit my next 90-day report until November, should I bring a copy of the expired TM.47 when applying for my marriage-based extension?

Hi!

My husband and I were planning to spend at least a year in Thailand, hopefully more- could be > 5 years if it works out that way.

We are both over 50 and can meet the income requirement for the Non-O retirement visa. I should hopefully have no issues getting health insurance as I am about a decade younger (under 60) with no health issues, but my husband is > 65 (no major issues either except a touch overweight and mild HTN which I can see can lead to a possible denial).

We can certainly keep money aside to self insure. I see expats all the time saying they self insure, but this does not appear to be an option for any Visa except the Elite or the DTV. .

Should I get a non-O retirement and hubby the DTV or is there a better option IF insurance is prohibitive? Would like to be able to open a bank account, and that's iffy right now on DTV.

Marriage visa extension of stay financials:

1. Minimum 40k monthly from Thai job with work permit.

2. 400k in Thai bank in my name seasoned correctly.

3. Foreign sourced income of 40k monthly verified by Embassy.

These are the requirements at my local Office Jomtien. They are also the requirements at several others offices. The same requirements are posted on the main Thai immigration bureau website.

Nowhere have I found an office that allows foreign sourced income using a year bank statement of 40k monthly international transfers without Embassy verification. As the UK does not issue income verification letters any more are my only options banked funds or Thai income?

Hi,

I got DTV for about 1 year now, had to get a provisional passport a month ago in order to proceed my travel plans. Coming back with my provisional passport soon to Thailand, will they come up and ask some "weird" questions, or showing them my old 32-page-passport including DTV visa will be fine and I will get easily back?

(German passport if that matters. Anyone made experiences with provisional passports+DTV?
