Can we apply for a DTV visa with US income while in Jakarta? I’ve tried to research but it’s a bit unclear.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a DTV visa using your US income while in Jakarta. It is important to provide bank statements from your local bank where your US earnings have been deposited. The Thai embassy requires proof of sufficient funds, which currently is about 500,000 Thai Baht (approximately $15,500) in your bank for at least three months, demonstrating your cash flow and access to funds.
> 500k thai baht (in any currency) bank under your name
3 months statement
××× no crypto/ investment bank
They want to see your "cash flow" or your availability to access to tbe money when you need

If the 500k is in your bank for the amount of time the embassy requires you can it’s about $15,500 at the moment

From what I’ve read the bank statements just have to be from the country you’re currently a resident of, not your home country. So if you’ve been depositing your US earnings into a local bank and use those statements for income verification you should be ok
interesting. I was going based off of an application that was denied from someone that was a us citizen living in the UK when they used their us bank statements and were told they needed to send UK bank statements instead. When they did, the application was then approved. I guess it was just another weird thai fluke
