TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the DTV (Digital Nomad) visa application process in Thailand and whether engaging a visa agent is advisable. Responses generally recommend that individuals apply directly without using agents, emphasizing the necessity of meeting specific requirements such as having a minimum of 500,000 THB in savings. Several users caution against potential scams in online groups offering assistance services and share their personal experiences of successfully navigating the application process independently.

None. No visa agent has any influence in your dtv process.

Do it yourself, read the requirements if it’s suitable, choose the consulate/embassy that is convenient for you and apply online, don’t apply unless you meet the most important point..you need to have a min of 500,000THB or in an equivalent personal/savings account GL

Bro no need for agency , you directly apply through their website .

Just prep the documents they require

And very important is remote work showing you are earning and secondly you have 500,000 Thai Bhat equivalent in your bank savings.

I did it my self and recently got it E-DTV visa .

Be careful in Facebook groups — there are people actively offering “assistance services” to foreigners, including:

• Opening Thai bank accounts

• Applying for DTV or work visas

• “Guarantee” at the airport, fast-track immigration, or other unofficial entry/exit help

But please stay alert — some scammers are taking advantage of these situations to cheat people.

⚠️ Reported scam tactics include:

🔴 Asking for a deposit upfront, claiming it’s to “book a queue” or “pay a third party”

🔴 Constantly postponing appointments with vague or changing excuses

🔴 Refusing refunds, blaming “third-party delays” or saying the money has already been sent

🔴 Asking you to bring extra people just to fit their own schedule

🔴 Dragging the process indefinitely without handling anything or taking responsibility

🔴 Suddenly asking for extra payments, claiming “new requirements” or “unexpected rules”

❗ These are classic stalling and deflection tactics meant to delay and keep taking your money.

They’re already active in several groups — everyone, please be extra careful.
