Divorced UK guy to a Thai Lady. Married Thailand. Divorced UK. Have one child 13yrs old. Born Thailand so has both Thai and UK passports. Boy lives with me solely through UK Court Order. Question - With having a Thai Citizen Child, can I buy property there and live there with no Visa Issues ?

Does anyone know if it will still be possible to apply for the DTV in HCM right before christmas? And has anyone applied from there (or Vietnam in general) and can tell how long it took?

After my father’s passing, my 56-year-old mother wants to move to Thailand to be closer to me. I’m currently living in Thailand on a DTV visa, but she doesn’t have the 800,000 baht required for the retirement visa. Our French embassy still issues income declarations, but they’re solely based on honor without any verification.

If she comes to Thailand without a visa, can we use the French embassy’s income declaration for her initial O visa application? By the end of the first year, she will have the 12 monthly payments of 65,000 baht required for renewal.

Just flew into Chiang Mai from Hanoi. 1st time using DTV for entry.

Lady at immigration looked like I had 3 heads. I said this is 180 days each entry and she shrugged her shoulders.

Stamped in for correct amount of days it appears.

Cannot believe how quick Chiang Mai handles incoming flights. In and out in 5 minutes.

Are dependent visas still offered for Ed visa holders? (I've heard confirmation for Ed Plus which is only offered through a university, correct?)

So if a parent comes to do a year long language course, can they have dependent wife and children (not yet school age) ride on their visa?

I know it was possible 5 years ago but I have heard mixed information on it recently.

Got my visa today.(Ho chi Minh )Applied last week on Tuesday but had to send proof of address. Stamp wasn't enough so I added my rental contract.

I work as a tutor online. I sent the link to my profile on the site I work on and wrote what I do and sent a 6 month earnings report.

Bank statement 6 months. The amount was there from the beginning.

On approval of the DTV, can you enter anytime once you have the approval or is entry as per the entry date you stated in the application?

Has anyone got DTV visa with evidence of funds through sponsorship route

Is there any type of background check that is needed for a DTV visa?
