My apologies in advance if this question has already been asked… With a retirement, non-immigration O visa, is international health insurance required? I’m getting conflicting information From what I’m reading online and what I’m hearing from an immigration consultant. Online it says that I have to have it, but my consultant tells me no.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters indicates that a retirement Non-Immigration O visa does not require international health insurance, while the Non-OA visa does require it. This reflects a common confusion between the two types of visas.

Been there done that. Non-o does not need insurance and non-o-a does require insurance.

No insurance needed for the Non-O. You can apply on line in own country for it.

A non-O visa does not require insurance. A non-OA visa does.
