I have taken it out for 120 days this year (I leave uk in 2 weeks) and it cost me less than £200. I think the issue is your age. I am 52 years old

Open a Nationwide Flex plus account for £13 per month and get travel insurance for free upto 30 days. To extend for upto 120 days you would need to pay an additional charge, but when compared to the cost of a seperate travel insurance policy it worked out significantly cheaper for me. Existing mediacl issues can also be included, but at an extra cost - of course.

I’m in a similar position and wondered how you intend to stay in country for 90 days on a visa exemption please?

I did the same and it took 4 days.
