EDIT: Just got approved! I have written exactly what was in my passport - this is what the embassy in HCMC told me to do (Hanoi embassy is hard to contact).

Hey guys, I’m in Hanoi applying for DTV visa and have a problem with the ‘Place of issue’ for my passport. I have a Polish passport that I got in Jakarta, and it says ‘Authority’, which I assume is the same thing.

The problem is that it only says (in Polish) ‘Consul in Jakarta’ and that’s it. I'm unsure whether I should write it as it is, translate it, or something else. I know people got rejected because of that issue.

Btw, the embassy is not answering my emails 🙂 And the phone seems busy all the time.

Anyone done visa run via Chiang Khong? Was it smooth how long did you stay in laos?

i got my application rejected from Thai Embassy in Munich. I applied MuayThai and put a cross in the box unemployed, as i live from rental income. After a week they wanted to see a certificate of employment, which i don´t have of course. So i sent them a copy of my tax return form to show them my yearly income. Some days later i got the rejection without any further comment. Unfortunately i cannot reach anyone on the phone or via e-mail to find out what the problem was. Does anyone know if it makes sense to apply again and fill in maybe different or what is best to do? Thank you for some advice.

I had my DTV rejected last year. I have since been to Thailand once on a tourist visa.

Now, I have found a job and they will sponsor my work permit. But I have a visa sticker with VOID stamped on it as a rejected DTV visa. Will this be an issue when I apply for Non B?

Has anyone ever needed to prove how they would support themselves in Thailand beyond the bank statement? I'm preparing for such a scenario in case they ask since I don't have any income right now.

A shock to the system combined with a degree of ignorance.

My initial 12 month Non - O extension of stay (based on being over 50) expires in the first week of July and I intended to apply for a further 12 month extension based on the monthly income method of 12 consecutive months of international transfers (minimum 65,000 baht each month).

The issue is as follows:-

My Kbank branch informed me that my monthly deposits have been transferred from my Australian Credit Union to the Bank of America in Bangkok and therefore the transfer from them to my Kasikorn Bank account is not deemed to be an international transfer. The statements refer them to be automatic transfers (I was aware of that but still thought they counted as an international transfer).

Has anyone had similar issues and is there a way around it. I am meeting with a visa agent here in Chiang Mai on Monday.

I got my visa approved in Phnom Penh. I'm sharing how it is arriving in Thailand, because before i had blacklisted, it expired 2 months ago.

So at the airport no questions asked.

At the immigration at the airport no questions asked at all.

Much better if someone overstayed before to get a proper visa, because the immigration office like this, they don't like the visa exempt.

I submitted the TM30 for my fiance' on the website as I live with her when I'm in Thailand, this is my first time doing this. I went into the web site to indicate I'd be leaving the country and there's no reacord of me there, I've tried everything and I don't see my name logged there at all. I downloaded the excel file that shows all stays at that address and its blank. Whats up?
