I got my visa approved in Phnom Penh. I'm sharing how it is arriving in Thailand, because before i had blacklisted, it expired 2 months ago.
So at the airport no questions asked.
At the immigration at the airport no questions asked at all.
Much better if someone overstayed before to get a proper visa, because the immigration office like this, they don't like the visa exempt.

"Hi everyone.
I post my experience, because it's useful π
I applied on 7th May in Phnom Penh, Cambodia as a remote worker. I've been working from home and living in Asia for the last 7 years.
What happened in Thailand before:
During the COVID i have been living in Thailand, and i was stupid, and went to a visa agency, to get a volunteer visa, because the language school didn't know, that i can get the education visa without leaving the country or not.
Of course the agency scammed me. After i was waiting and waiting, and later i went to a law office, maybe they could help. They took my money also, i paid them 250k baht.
So i left Thailand, i paid the 20k baht, and they put me on the blacklist for 3 years.
Now:
I've been living in Cambodia for almost 3 years.
The 3 years expired.
In Cambodia the embassy asked for a 3 month bank statement. The last 3 months my balance was about 500k baht, but a little lower. In May my bank balance was ok, and when i got my bank statement on 7th May, i applied. My bank statement was not in English, but pretty obvious, so I didn't translate it. I sent a screenshot about my actual balance in my bank application on my phone.
I sent my work contract in my language, not in English of course, and i sent the pdf from my boss, that i can work remotely in English language.
I sent photos about my business visa here in Cambodia, my rental agreement here.
That was pretty much all.
8th May they asked me for my entry stamp to Cambodia. I sent them on the same day.
On the same day my application changed to pending approval.
And today i checked it, and the status was: the visa was sent by email. And in the email i got the approved message, valid until May 27, 2030.
That's my story π"

Thank You for your helpful report π
Congratulations πππ
PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.
That's what you should do... print it out.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight βοΈ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

Care to elaborate a bit on the last part I didnβt quite understand. Are you saying itβs better to be an overstayer on a proper visa than to overstay a visa exemption?
i didn't say, that the people should overstay. But if it happened, it doesn't mean, that you cannot get a dtv visa, or cannot enter Thailand again. And i hate that too, but i couldn't avoid it. Now i know how it works, so it won't happen again.
not always. But i was stupid, because during the covid the school didn't know, i have to leave the country to get the ed visa or not, so I went to an agency. That time i believed in people. Now not
nooo.Immigration knows everything about your visa. And i know that time everything was clear about visa. Can make covid extension as well. There is something missing in your situation.
i only know, that the school didn't tell us, we have to leave to get the extension or not. That was 3 days before we needed the extension. Me and one of my friend went to an agency to get volunteer visa
