Hello! Question about 90 days report. My first 90 days will be March 10, I leave Thailand on March 16 for a week trip. After that I plan to come back and stay more than 90 days, I also plan to do a 90-day report and get a resident certificate => come to the immigration office.

Do I have to do TM47 now if I plan to leave country soon? Do they check TM47 for previous entries in the immigration office and will there be problems in the future if I don’t do it now?

I live in Bangkok, there are long queues in immigration office. I don’t understand if it’s worth wasting my time

Just wanted to share my story: My wife and I both arrived on Feb 2nd here in Cambodia. Her application was submitted on Feb 3rd. It was submitted under ' Soft Power.' She is the primary and I'm being sponsored by her. Her approval was on Feb. 18th at which time my application was submitted.

The Primary has to be approved before the spouses can be submitted. I just received my approval today March 5th. I just wanted you to know if you are getting approved as a couple give yourself at least a month if it is over here in Cambodia. I talked to a Visa agent here and they said Cambodia is swamped with so many applications and they are taking longer to process. Good luck to everyone.

I am going to apply for a non immigrant OA retirement visa in Thailand. Doing research it say you need to deposit 800k baht or show passive income of 65k baht a month? It that right? Is it one or the other? How difficult is it to apply yourself in person at the immigration without an agent? Would I need to deposit money before applying? Which from what I am reading hard to open a bank account without proof of residency. Any advise what steps to take in chronological order for a smooth process would be greatly appreciated. If you are required to deposit 800k in bank, can that money be used to pay rent or medical? Does the 90 day reporting ask questions in regard to money left in the Thai bank?

Hi Guys,

I got my DTV approved from HCM today 5th March afternoon.

Nationality: Italian

Digital Nomad Workation (Owner and director of a UK LTD)

Here the details:

1) Applied Friday 28th February night:

- Stamp on the passport and arrival boarding ticket as a proof of current location in Vietnam

- Bank statement of only 3 months with more than 500,000 baht for all the 3 months in the account (my bad I didn't upload directly the 6 months bank statements)

- Proof for the status of digital nomad: quick introduction about the company, incorporation documents and certificate, proof of transactions and 2 examples of contract with the related bank transfers

2)Monday 3rd March morning I received a request for additional documents:

- Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, sponsorship letter : A deposit account shows the transactions last 6 months and the account balance or a combination of a deposit/saving account totaling not less than 500,000baht. Stock/Crypto/Bitcoin/Investment/Business/PayPal account and sponsor are not accepted.

- Other request documents: Provide a company profile that includes details about its history, vision, mission, products, and achievements.

- Other request documents: Provide motivation letter

For point 1) I attached the Bank statements of 3 banks of the last 6 months (because some of them were in Italian language).

For point 2) I attached the full description of every point (vision, mission etc), I explained all the process with example and pictures of how I create the product/services and how I sell it. I specify that my business is NOT related or has any interest with any kind of Thai entities.

For point 3) I mentioned real interest for Thai culture and I will be honored to have the possibility to stay in the kingdom. I mentioned again that my business is running 100% remotely and do not have any interest in the kingdom. I mentioned again that I can sustain myself and I have health insurance for emergency.

3) Tuesday 4th March morning went to pending approval.

4) Today 5th March approved in the afternoon.

Thanks to everyone for the info 🙏🏻

Such a great cooking class in Chiang Mai! Highly recommend for DTV! Lyn is so kind, flexible, and can cater to any skill level. I try to take cooking classes in every new country I visit (Mexico, Morocco etc) and I have learned more here than any of the others. 10/10

In telling of my experience, others will learn some valuable information. Unfortunately, this information will not help some of the audience here.

I have a US passport, 68 yo, United Healthcare Medicare Advantage plan, no Thailand Health Insurance, Non-O marriage visa, live in Ratchaburi for 6 months each year.

Starting in mid-December I contracted a medical condition that sent me to the ER 5 times. 3 visits to Bangkok Hospital Ratchaburi, 1 visit to Ratchaburi Hospital and 1 visit to Bamrumgrad Hospital.

All of the claims that I submitted electronically to my US health insurance were paid. Some were reimbursed 100% and others around 80%.

Most US Medicare Advantage plans will reimburse you if you are overseas, except Puerto Rico and a few other exceptions. Care on a cruise ship is covered the same way. You are not covered if you are outside the US for longer than 6 months in that year.

I researched this in July 2024 and used it in December 2024 and January 2025.

I know this may sound like I’ve not done my research, but please don’t come for me too hard 😫

But I’m asking for any advice + information regarding registering/setting up a business in Thailand as a foreigner (British national)

What is the process? Is it possible? Is there set requirements for having a Thai business partner? Or a set amount of Thai people working for the company? Is the process lengthy and filled with fees?

Again, Thankyou for anyone who takes the time to provide me information and point me in the right direction! Please don’t be mean 🙏🏽🙏🏽😅

Has anyone recently been on a TR visa with multiple entries and then applied for a DTV and got approved?

My concern is that I have been approved for a TR visa and have had two to three re-entries within the past six months. I'm unsure whether I should email the embassy to cancel already approved TR visa before applying for the DTV.

Any suggestions? Thanks so much in advance! 🙏
