DTV Visa Income Requirement Clarification.

Good day,

I have a quick question regarding the income requirements for the DTV visa. I am preparing to submit my application soon (Washington Thai Embassy) and noticed that the financial criteria request three months of bank statements.

In my case, two out of the three most recent statements reflect income that exceeds the minimum requirement. Although one month falls below the threshold, however- I do receive a consistent weekly income. Would this be acceptable, considering the overall stability of my earnings?

Washington Thai Embassy

A copy of a recent saving or checking bank statement for the last three months with an ending balance of no less than 500,000 THB or ($16,000 USD) that shows the applicant's name and date. In case of submitting a family bank statement, proof of relationship (i.e. birth certificate, marriage certificate) must be provided. / sponsorship letter.

Have a bit of a strange question

I travel to Thailand on 24th June and plan to travel to Vietnam on 2nd July returning back to Thailand 11th July and then flying back to UK on 12th July .

Problem is as of 5th July I will have less than 6 months left on my passport which I know is not enough enter Thailand from Vietnam I don't jave time now to renew my passport before I travel.

I don't suppose there would be any way I would be allowed into Thailand on the 11th as my passport will have 6 days less than the required 6 months .

Even though I would be leaving Thailand again the next day ?

Hi folks,

After submitting our non-immigrant OA visa applications 13 days ago, we got a request for additional documentation a week later. Most of it was straightforward and relatively easy to get, but they asked for an attested marriage certificate, something I’ve never seen mentioned in many months of following this subject.

I submitted the certificate we had attested in 2011, when I changed jobs here, but the following Monday, I learned that the UAE had restricted the validity of attestation to ten years, so we had to start again.

When I asked the agency obtaining the attestation why we needed it, they said it was because I was sponsoring my wife, but because she’s over 50, she had to submit her own application and prove access to the requisite level of funds, so why do we need this repeated attestation, which is costing a significant sum of money and putting our scheduled departure, and all the associated dependencies, including three cats, at risk?

I doubt the consulate will cancel the requirement and the UAE embassy in the UK is unlikely to speed things up, but if anyone can explain why they are questioning just short of 31 years of marriage, and no, she’s not Thai, she’s Japanese, I’d be very grateful.

Good night, all.

Hey I am looking into the 5 Year Muay Thai DTV Visa. I am speaking to a few different gyms for training.

Will the 5 Year DTV Visa for Muay Thai be available in 2026? As it would give me more time to prepare for all of the requirements (savings, course payments, flights and accommodation)

I am thinking to go back out to Thailand this October and November for 2 months to actually go to the gyms in person as well before committing.

Please any info would be great - I would hate to miss out on this DTV Visa Opportunity

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to share my DTV visa experience with the Thai Consulate in Dubai.

I applied as a company owner and submitted:

• Trade License

• Share Registration Agreement

• No Objection Certificate (NOC)

• Bank statement

I don’t keep funds sitting in one account for 3 months. Instead, I open monthly fixed deposits — every month I transfer money from my personal account into savings to earn interest. It’s clearly visible in the statements that funds always come from my personal account to deposits and return back after each term.

At first, I submitted 4 separate statements for March, April, May, and June, showing I always had over 500,000 THB.

However, the consulate requested one 3-month statement showing the required amount.

Today I provided the 3-month statement along with a cover letter explaining my deposit structure.

Just wondering — has anyone else faced a similar situation with DTV applications?

Would appreciate any insights

Hello,

I’m currently based in Hanoi and I’m planning to apply for the Remote Worker Visa myself. However, I’ve heard of many cases where applications for this visa have been rejected, which makes me a bit hesitant. I’ve been in Hanoi for one year and I want to leave soon.

Would you recommend working with an agent to handle the process? Or would it be better to try and find a Thai gym to sponsor me instead? Is my one year status could affect my application? Anyone with the same experience

I’d really appreciate any advice or recommendations you might have. I’m eager to move forward soon, but I find the official website a bit confusing.

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

When applying for Non O extension, will the 12 months begin the date the extension is approved or from when the initial 90 days visa expires?

Also, does anyone know current Chiang Mai requirements regarding showing proof of residence, i.e. do I need a rental contract and if so, what's the minimum length? (I'm not currently there to check it myself... thinking/planning ahead.)

Thank you 🙏

Flying out of the country and returning on the same day for 6 months extension, is it possible? Or is it risky to do?

Would staying 1 night and flying back the next day be safer? Anyone with experience that flew back same day did you have any troubles? Thank you
