I am currently in a 60 day visa exempt entry. I am going to apply for a retirement visa. The 800k has been in my account since April, so that is fine. Everywhere that I read says I must go and apply for the retirement visa in the last 30 days of the date on my stamp to allow for sufficient time. My question is, can I go even earlier than that? Like 2 weeks after arrival? Or must I be at least 30 days into my stay before they will process the application?

Hi,

I am a new member, Swedish, and have lived full time for 8 years. Have Non-O at the bottom and 1-year extension built on Spouse.

Next year the Swedish Embassy will stop making Income Certificates which I understand many other countries have already stopped.

Now my questions:

Is there a "Monthly Income Method", i.e. showing bank statements from the bank 12 months ago with more than 40,000 baht/month instead of 400,000 baht at an account?

Could there be different rules for different provinces? I live in Rayong.

I’m currently on a lookout for healthcare insurance plans for my family and me.

I checked the Pacific Prime Thailand website and it spit out some good quotes within my budget.

But then I asked the broker / agent of pacific prime and got totally different quotes which are way higher

Do you guys had the same experience?

What’s the best way to approach this?

Do you have any recommendation in terms of brokers, insurance companies and plans?

Hi Guys, this is a back up from my previous post. After numerous trips to immigration and the Thai embassy, it has become very clear that, I need to leave Thailand and apply for a non o visa before returning. My wife and I are planning a road trip to the Laos border and then applying from Laos. If any you guys have done this and want to share your experiences and maybe toss in any relevant tips it would be most appreciated. As a footnote, my wife is Thai and a Thai passport holder.

Bangkok Bank or others causing you issues? Many thousands affected. It is singling out foreigners without any evidence and it is maybe breaking the Thai consumer rights laws.

Make a formal complaint here...

Does any explanation help with immigration regarding the late 90-day notification or visa renewal? My current situation is that I am bedridden and cannot move, meaning I cannot walk. The travel distance is 360 km.
