I have my UK DTV approved. Now it’s time to add my spouse but I can’t see anything obvious as next steps to add my spouse. Can anyone tell me what to do next?

Change over to E-Visa system.

A number of consulates around the region are changing over to the e-visa system as of 8th of October. This means that you will no longer be able to apply in person from then on.

Also be aware that some will suspend visa processing earlier to prepare for the change over. If you are heading over to get a visa it may be wise to check directly with them on their processing times for walk in applications.

For those who successfully obtained the DTV as a remote worker, was a letter from your employer (with details of the role, ability to work remotely, etc.) enough? Or did you additionally need to show your employment contract? I work for my family's business so I don't really have a contract in the same way a worker in a corporation would.

For reference, I'm considering applying in Jakarta or Taipei.

My Non-O Retirement visa is valid until May 2025. But I plan to move out of Thailand by December 2024. What am I legally supposed to do regarding Immigration? Do I have to notify them ahead of time? Or just at the airport? Or can I just go and do nothing?

Follow-up question: would an American applying in Taipei have to provide IRS tax documents and other nonsense? Seems applying in USA has tons of extra document nonsense like IRS tax documents, but do Americans applying from other consulates or embassy’s (ie Taiwan, Cambodia, etc.) have to provide it?

I've planned my stay to be in the country for 59 days

Understanding the entry visa is 60 days

However immigration has stamped my passport for 58 day allowance

The stamp says 30th Sept to 28th Nov

EDIT

Can I apply for the 30 day extension now or must I wait closer to the end date? Is there a restricted time frame?
