For those who successfully obtained the DTV as a remote worker, was a letter from your employer (with details of the role, ability to work remotely, etc.) enough? Or did you additionally need to show your employment contract? I work for my family's business so I don't really have a contract in the same way a worker in a corporation would.
For reference, I'm considering applying in Jakarta or Taipei.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Expat applicants for the DTV visa as remote workers question whether a letter from their employer is enough, or if an employment contract is also required. Comments reveal that while some found a letter sufficient, others had issues with outdated contracts and were asked to provide additional confirmation of employment. Context is given for applications in Jakarta and Taipei, emphasizing the importance of documentation to prove remote work eligibility.
Go on to chat GPT and ask it to write you an employment contract.... ask it to include your job duties and And your name and the company's name... maybe even what your position and job description is
When people say a contract, do you mean a one page letter explaining your role, duties ect or a legit contract, 20 pages with stuff like what's acceptable in the workplace, annual leave allowances, sick leave ECT....
