Hi all.. my visa expires on 12 Oct so heading to Cambodia for a few weeks then back to Thailand. I’ve read that Customs frown upon you leaving on the day the visa expires (which I want to do) - is this true? Should I leave the day before? Thanks in advance for any info

Hi friends, I'm French and the proud holder of a DTV visa for myself and my entire family.

I first entered the country alone in September.

They gave me an entry stamp with 6 months validity.

However, I only stayed 15 days and now I'm back in France, and nobody has stamped my exit visa!

This means that on my passport, I only have the date of entry, even though I left the country via the airport.

I'm going back with my family this time, at the end of October.

Question: Have any of you already left the country without getting the exit date stamp?

I'm not worried, anyway with all the controls at the airport, they clearly know that I've left and on what date. I just want to know if this has already happened to some of you.

In the US I use JPChase bank, since they have an office in Bangkok can I use them for proof of funds for Visa purpose?

Question:

I have a DTV Visa and will be arriving into Thailand in November.

I do not have a return/departing ticket booked as I didn’t need to have or prove a return flight as part of the DTV application process.

Am I going to run into any issues at immigration when arriving in Thailand? Or does having a DTV exclude that requirement?

I am really confused about the "location" part of the visa application. I am currently traveling for 6 months, so do I put the location of where I actually am at this moment? I am not a resident in my current location, the only thing I can supply is my airbnb receipt. I am applying via Evisa, not in person. Also is is true you should not apply any more than 3 months in advance? I don't see how this would be relevant because the visa is not activated until when you arrive in Thailand, corret? I need to renew my 2-year driving license. My Embassy doesn't validate addresses unfortunately. I've looked up the requirements to get a certificate of residency in Bangkok:

1. copy of your passport’s photo page

2. copy of your visa (if applicable)

3. copy of your TM6 Departure Card

4. copy of your Receipt of Address Notification

5. copy of your lease/house book with your name and address

6. two passport-size photos

However, I live at my wife's house and I don't have a house book or lease with my name on it. I work, but my work permit also doesn't have my address.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
