Do I need to apply for E visa now when returning to country?

I am doing a border run next week and one of my friends is telling me I need to do E Visa now before I come back to Thailand. I usually just come back with no problems. Has there been any changes? I still thought it was 60 day

Hello everyone, I am interested in starting a business in Thailand. There are a couple of issues I am running into. If anyone has anything to share about any of them I would appreciate the advice.

1. Having to register so much capital isn't practical for my idea.

2. My Thai girlfriend is also a government officer, and our understanding is that she can nit be a director due to the conflict of interest.

Right now my only alternative ideas are to come up with a whole different business idea. One that I could go to some investors with to raise the capital. My current idea involves assisting tourists and is very minimal with necessary startup costs(besides the capital registration). This would really change the nature of the start small method, so I am really not to happy with doing that.

The second idea I have is to approach local tour companies. My original ideas involve contracting out the services my guests would need. So the agreement I would pitch is one where I bring g the existing company my customers, take care of any additional needs they have, and then take a percentage of the sales from the customers I bring in. The issue I have with this is that I am totally unfamiliar with Thai business culture, and the best way to approach people with proposals.

Thanks again for any input.

Applying in Vientiane: Is a adding a Cover Letter necessary (workaction, own company)? It's not on the application requirements, but seems many applicants are doing so. 🙏

DTV’s and 90 day reporting.

Contrary to what some YouTube videos have claimed you DO need to do a 90 day report on a DTV - if you stay in Thailand for 90 consecutive days - that’s 89 days after you entered the Kingdom.

We are getting in to the time window when some of the earliest recipients may be getting close to their first 90 days within Thailand.

Remember you can file a report two weeks prior and up to one week after due date. For this first report it will have to be in person at your local immigration office.

In theory you shouldn’t need to do a second report because you are only allowed 180 days in the country per entry but if you file early then your next report will be 90 days after that filing date.

For the second report, should you need one, then count your days carefully. If a second is due, but you leave a day or so after anyway then some believe they’ll get away with not reporting. You will when you leave, but come your next need to file a report you may well be slapped with a 2,000 baht fine for failing to report prior.

Weird situation applying in Taipei. Dropped documents off in morning, they said to come back and if I pass pay at 3pm/4pm, then Friday pick up visa. Today I went back at 3pm, and suddenly they said that they have to interview me on Friday at 10am, and if I pass i then pay and get the visa on Friday. Any ideas what they’d want to interview about? Has anyone had a second interview meeting scheduled with a supervisor???

For the 500k THB bank statement proof, can I provide a screenshot of my Wise account, or does it need to be an official bank statement printout with stamp, signature, and other formalities?
