That's really good news about this being sorted out. It's comforting to know that. Do you recommend any agents? I will search the forum. She is a government officer and owns a house here. I looked into the fiancée nd marriage visas. Those look like brutal wait times. I will probably try one more tourist visa and then go that route. Thanks again for your thoughtful reply.
Thank you for the advice. I am 43 and she is 6 months. 2. Family member visit for 3 months. And then hoping to extend for 9 months. 3. The email said that I was denied for insufficient documents. They did reach out to me and told me to upload my passport and birth certificate again. I attempted this abroad. I will respond to the email and ask which documents I was missing. But this time we went to the local office, and that is when I saw they wanted certification of birth and birth certificate. I think it just got lost in translation. 4. I am on her Thai birth certificate as the father. 5. I have about 30 days left on a tourist visa and hopefully a 30 day extension. I am currently in Thailand. I have been pushing the tourist visa since February 2024. With border runs and going home for a couple of months.
For sure, things work out strangely here. However, the visa agents with 1000+ 5 star reviews have given me the best advice and others as well. Now my go to is asking 2 or 3 highly rated visa agents for advice over WhatsApp or Line. Usually the information is free. And if all that information lines up it is pretty solid. Then a call to an English speaking lawyer is $30. In my very limited experience, that makes life much easier than, and often provides better information than what I get on groups. If you have a better method than this, I am sure the group and myself would benefit greatly from it.
I grew up in California as well. Some of the suburbs are more insulated than others. But then I would be raising a child around a bunch of rich California brats. It's turned into a materialistic society that produces that largest consumers of psyche meds on the planet. The cities used to be a real highlight of living there. To say you stick to the suburbs in California is a prison sentence. Oakland hills and other affluent areas have home invasions all the time. It's a failed state. Lets not get into the recent fires there. Those people had a lot of money and also lost a lot.
