Hey all, I'm a freelance website designer from Australia applying for the DTV via evisa in Vietnam.

Wondering what freelancers are submitting for the question 5 . Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status

That's getting approved?

I have a portfolio I can submit but I'm wondering if that will be enough? I have individual client contracts for the upcoming months but would prefer not to share these due to privacy reasons.

Question: Some embassies say that your photo must be taken by a smartphone (UK Embassy) and scanned version of your photo is not accepted (New Zealand Embassy). What kind of photos did you submit on the evisa website? We are thinking about Malaysia, Jakarta or Cambodia but their websites don't say anything about this. TIA

I am dual citizen. One passport allows me to enter Vietnam Visa Free and the other one requires a Visa. I will be applying for DTV visa using the passport that requires Visa to enter Vietnam. Question- is there anyone in a similar situation who entered Vietnam Visa free? How did you go about with the entry stamp requirement?

Can you have two active Visas at the same time? I am currently in Bangkok on a 90-day non O visa effective until 29 December. I plan to secure a re-entry permit to fly to Vietnam in November and apply for a DTV Visa. If successful, can I come back to Bangkok still under the Non O Visa, leave without the re-entry permit then enter next year 2025 under the DTV visa? Reason that I need to come back is that I already paid for an Airbnb for the month of November.

Hey guys! I currently live in BKK and am from the US. I have my Muay Thai DTV acceptance letter (soft-activities application) and am trying to figure out the best way to get my DTV. Should I apply through LA (California is my home state) and get it issued digitally or is it best to do an E-visa through Vietnam? After doing some research, it seems Vietnam is the best option. With this being said, with the recent e-visa changes is the following process correct: apply online, leave Thailand and go to Vietnam, wait for digital approval while in Vietnam via email, re-enter Thailand, and receive a stamp from immigration. Let me know if I'm missing anything and what your guy's thoughts are! Thanks :).

DTV application "canceled" (denied) because of incorrect passport expiry date. This was my wife's (dependant) application, evisa done in Shanghai. Already paid so we lost those 2400cny, about $340. Ive seen others been denied because of wrong name spelling, but keep in mind also other details need to be correct.

And if you upload your passport after you've entered these details then the form details are overwritten with what it reads from the passport, and this can be wrong. I don't know what happened in our case. Maybe the day/month was swapped or something like that. We didn't notice it when looking over the application before submitting. It feels a bit unfair that these small details makes you lose the whole visa fee. I'm glad we didn't pay 2M bath for the elite visa! (I know that's not handled like evisa)

Hello everyone,

I’m seeking some information and advice. I’m planning to apply for a DTV in Australia as I will be visiting for educational purposes. Currently I am living in Thailand. Can I apply for the visa while I’m in Australia, or do I need to apply before arriving? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey guys, just a quick question regarding the bank statement... I'm going to be sending 6 months of my Wise account (with the official Wise verification stamp and signature included), however the currency I have is RON (Romanian Lei). Will this be okay?

The statement is 100% in English, but the currency is not USD or EUR, it's RON.

500,000 Thai Baht is around 70,000 Romanian Lei. Shall I send an XE screenshot showing the conversion?

Thank you
