Hi, I am wondering which embassies or consulates in Southeast Asia and South Asia are considered the most favourable when it comes to DTV applications. I think I can meet the criteria but rather not have to worry about it. Sri Lanka is one place I’d like to visit, but I’ve seen a few mixed reports on posts here. Thanks.

I am seeking recent feedback (from the last few months) regarding Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) applications submitted in Australia via the Soft Power route. Specifically, I am interested in:

1. Are applicants still receiving approvals using the 'Discover Thai Nature' 1-year seminar program?

2. Are 6-month cooking courses still sufficient for approval, or is it now advisable to book a 1-year course to ensure success?

I comfortably meet the financial requirements and have already researched previous related posts. Thank you for your assistance.

Hey guys, can someone recommend a country or an agency from where it’s easy and cheap to apply for DTV. I live in Thailand already. I was on a working visa before which expired. I have rental contract for 3 years and many Thai bills or contracts on my name.

I’m flexible and can travel to every country (within Asia) where the DTV process goes smoothly.

Any recommendations from people who are also living in Thailand and applied abroad for the DTV?

I’m looking forward for nice ideas and suggestions 🙏

Thanks in advance

Any reports on DTV applications in Laos since they went online there? Considering Luang Prabang to apply for spouse/dependent DTVs as it is the easiest option to get to with our young baby. Also wondering how the payment system works as apparently online payment is not possible at present - would it be possible to get someone else to go and pay at the Thai embassy in Vientiane without physically going their ourselves? Any experience/info appreciated. Thanks

Can anyone tell me what happens with DTV applications during the Xmas & NY period in Australia at Canberra Consulate? Do they stop processing applications and people have to wait until the new year? I have flights booked for to Thailand on the 31st Dec and concerned my visa will not be processed in time. I submitted it on the 10th Dec and provided additional documents 3 days later. Thats was on 13th Dec.
