Recently received non-O retirement visa. What’s the deal with importing used household effects (clothes, shoes, bedding, desktop computer)…?

Can do duty free? Can do but no go duty free?

Any/all advice most appreciated.

Hi. Maybe someone can confirm whether Betong Border Immigration is open or closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Unfortunately, gmaps is not accurate for Mondays and Tuesdays and points out possible deviations from normal times. Thank you very much Jack.

Hello everybody, I have a Visa-question and wanted to be sure that I don’t need a Visa.

I am a Belgian citizen. In the months of July and August, I am travelling to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodja. I will be:

- arriving on 9 July 2024 on the airport in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi

- leaving Thailand for Laos on 15 July 2024 (border post Chiangkhong) by private bus

- re-entering Thailand (from Cambodja) on 7 August 2024 (border post Aranyaprathet)

- leaving Thailand on 9 August 2024 (airport Bankgkok) and return to Belgium

So I will be staying 7 days in Thailand and then again 3 days. Do I need a visa for these periods because I don’t have a flight to Laos or an official bus ticket? Do I need to fill in a digital form or take some photos/documents with me to use at the border posts? Or will I get just a stamp in my passport and I can travel?

I hope somebody can answer my questions? Thank you in advance!

Got a new passport and need to transfer my stamp to my new passport. Also would like to get a tourist visa extension the same day so I don't have to travel to immigration two times. If I book an appointment online for my tourist visa extension, could they also do the transfer of stamps during that appointment or is transferring stamps a completely different counter/location? Is it possible to book an appointment online to transfer stamps?

Advise please. I travel a lot for work and leave Thailand frequently. Each time I return, do I need to do a TM30? If yes, can this be done online for ease etc?

Can anyone confirm that the Ranong border is closed? I heard that the Grand Andaman club is now not open which is where I would get the boat to and was a very simple process.

Is there another way or can not due to the unrest in Myanmar?

I visited Koh Chang immigration to confirm my 90 days. Officer told me that my 90 d runs from the date I renewed my visa (Jan 30) and not from my last arrival in Thailand (Jan 15). In the past trigger was always based on last arrival date. Is there a change of rule? Thanks for advise.

Hi! Looking for exit/re-entry knowledge. My (USA) visa exemption extension in Thailand is maxed out and ends April 19 (+30 days then + 7 days)

--What is the easiest/time/cost efficient and reliable method to exit and entry country if I wanted to stay another 30 days or less -- that doesn't risk denial at re-entry or put eyes on my passport down the road? I plan to come back and be here often (a few months a year). I tried to the ask the immigration officers at the extension office, but they just said any exit/entry is fine. Other info I've seen is very anecdotal and I'm looking for more definitive info from those with knowledge.

I also came for exactly 1 month last april/may and <30 days in December via air.

--Would I have to leave for at least 48-72 hours or can I fly to, say Cambodia in the morning, stay in the airport a few hours, and fly back in the afternoon/evening without having to worry?

--I'd prefer to spend 100+USD For a short flight than take a longer bus ride but I'm open to a bus if for whatever reason that is better/more reliable.

--I already have a fully refundable award ticket back to NYC on the 19th, but it would be nice to stay another week or two or three if it's easy enough to reset.

Thank you for help.

Received my Thai OX retirement visa in Nov 23

Entered Thailand yesterday for the first time. Went to immigration counter (Bangkok) and was escorted to another area for processing. Stamped in for 5 years. Very efficient
