TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder who arrives in Phuket with a 60-day visa can apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office when they have 45 days or less remaining on their existing stamp, meaning they should wait at least 15 days after arrival to start the process. To apply for the extension, they need to fill out a TM7 form and provide several documents including a passport photo, a copy of their passport bio page, and their entry stamp. The form can be downloaded online for convenience.
I went to immigration in Jomtien I saw all the people there just for the information and thought I ain’t queuing up there and something not be right. Went down the road to an agent sat in there for ten minutes while they did the paperwork then they took me to immigration straight in photo taken no waiting back in car. The picked my passport up two days later stress free all for 4500 bht it’s a no brainer

In Phuket you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on your existing stamp. So you need to wait at least 15 days after you arrive to apply for the extension.
Yes you have to fill out some forms. Yes you do it yourself at the immigration office.
