Has anyone recently done a visa land border run to Vientiane ( from Udon Thani) and returned the same day?

If so did u get 60 days upon returning to Thailand? UK passport here.

UD to HK is cheaper?? Really? 5 hr flight, with a connection/Change of aircraft in BKK…. Explain how 7K is cheaper than public transportation UD to Vientiane??
