How can I prove my current address while applying for a DTV visa from the UK?

Maybe a silly question but I’m kind of stumped here. How do I prove my current address? I’ve been in SEA for the past 6 months just hopping around on tourist visas. Came home to apply for the DTV. No passport stamp on entry to the UK, I don’t drive, living at home with parents before I left for Asia so no utility bills. I can submit a bank statement but it hardly proves I’m actively in the UK. I have flight info back to the UK and a physical boarding pass, is this sufficient? Any other suggestions? Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to prove their current address for a DTV visa application after spending six months in Southeast Asia without any formal proof of residence in the UK (such as utility bills or a driver's license). The conversation discusses various alternatives, including using a bank statement, securing a temporary bill from a family member, or providing flight information, along with suggestions for other forms of proof like government documents or receipts that include an address.

In the UK they accept a driving licence as proof of residence, so that's what I used.

Also London. I got my parents to put a bill in my name. The Wise statement I sent them for the financials already had the address, and I had already sent them a plane ticket showing I had left Thailand and when I was coming back. So I suspect they may want more than a bank statement or flight, they want something with your address on it. Maybe another bank statement from a physical bank would have worked, but I decided to use something as close as possible to what they asked for.

Can you get something "official" sent from the government with your address on it? For example, you can apply for a printed National Insurance statement, if you have ever worked in the UK.

Take a selfie in front of a major tourist attraction with something with the current date to prove your location.

Or buy something from a coffee shop and show a receipt which should have an address and time in it

Any uk phone company will have a uk home address on it I’m with ee and it’s in a uk address. Thats if it’s a contract phone obviously. I have a dtv. I used this along with my limited company to get dtv. I went to Laos for my visa.

Can you request a bill for your UK mobile phone with an address on it? Phone bill, bank statement, and a boarding pass? When you’re applying from your home country, they’re not as strict about proof of location compared to SEA countries.

Can’t you just give a picture of your drivers license with your address on it?

They didn’t ask me for proof of address

I don’t think it’s that serious and also you can do an extensive cover letter and have AI just put it together for that particular purpose

I had AI write a letter specifically for a tie DTV Visa application and it knew everything to put in that letter and made them very happy somehow

Your passport and prove of address need to match. Ask someone to put you on the bill temporarily. OR....how good is your computer skills?

They want something with your address. Try your bank statement and if they don't like it they'll send you a request for something else.

Boarding pass, go find a newspaper and take a photo with it in front of something “British” looking.
