I needed to change my address so I logged into SSA. There is no longer 2 addresses as before, physical and mailing. I am only allowed to "contact us" which is now Ai. I haven't tried yet as the Ai is resting for the night.

For the only time in 7 years and with no banking changes, I received the "proof of life" (aka SSA 7161) letter so I need a correct address.

There was also a notice online that letters can no longer be sent to the US. I emailed the FBU in Manila but they are overwhelmed so I don't expect to get any answers.

Has anyone flown into Thailand since the crackdown on border runs? Looking to get some information straight from the horses mouth.

There appears to be conflicting information available regarding the number of visa exemptions that can be obtained per year through land borders and air travel into the country.

For example my case, I flew from my home country to Thailand and received a visa exemption which I extended 30 days. Then I did my first ever land border run to Malaysia. So that's my 2 visa-exempt stamps. Booked my flight back home in advance (roughly 1 month from today), anticipating an extension but then this crackdown began.

Is it worth flying to KL and back into Thailand, hoping that they will be more lenient on flights, or just lose my bookings, call it a day and head home?

planning to apply for a Non-O visa in Thailand by processing it in Laos.

Could anyone kindly share the required documents I need to prepare?

Any tips or recent experience would also be really appreciated.

I collected all the docus(health and immigration certificate). I would like to know if any of you know the current situation in Ko Samui,Krabi,Phuket. I tried in Surat Thani Town, but they bounced me back with the 2 years etcetc. Thank you

I have a couple of questions regarding the choice of Embassy/Consulate.

1. I applied in Frankfurt/Germany and got a request for addiitional documents four days after I initially applied. Since I submitted the documents, it's been almost three weeks without any update. Has anyone else here gone through Frankfurt in recent weeks/months? What are your experiences?

2. I thought I have to go through Frankfurt, because it's close to where I live, and they are responsible for handling request from people in my region. Since there is a lot of discussion in this forum about choosing a different embassy/consulate for applying, I would love to understand the way this would work. Are you guys then travelling to the place of that specific consulate and stay there until the decision on the DTV has been made? Thanks in advance!

I am currently in Vietnam and am planning to apply for DTV. Is it possible to apply at the Thai General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh or do I have to fly out to Hanoi to submit at the Embassy?
