London embassy question: Seen a number of people say the London embassy required actual flight ticket from the airline, I have a flight booked but it's a return flight and the return date is within 60 days (something like 55). Has anyone applied with and uploaded such a ticket, just worried they'll give me an METV instead (seen that's happened) if they see I have a return within 60 days. Going soft power Muay Thai route.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading in this group that some people are facing issues with their DTV Visa, so I wanted to share my recent experience at Suvarnabhumi Airport for my third entry into Thailand. Hopefully, this gives you some peace of mind!

For context, I have a Remote Work DTV Visa. My second stamp was a transit-only entry (flying from Helsinki (HEL) to Bangkok (BKK)). I went straight to the immigration counter, handed over my passport along with my DTV Visa (printed same size as my passport and laminated for convenience). The officer didn’t ask any questions—just stamped my passport, and I was through in no time. Super smooth!

My third stamp was for a flight from Da Nang to BKK. Same deal: I presented my passport and the printed, laminated DTV Visa at immigration. The officer stamped it without any questions, and I was good to go.

Both entries were incredibly straightforward, with no issues or extra scrutiny. For those worried about the process, I hope my experience helps ease your mind! Just make sure your DTV Visa is printed clearly (laminating it helps with durability), and you should be fine.

59 year old retired from US.

Thai bank account with 800k soon to be funded. 6 weeks left on tourist visa. What do I need to get my OA visa? I'm near Laos, so going there isn't too difficult, if I have to. I have a Thai gf to help translate, and not looking to use agent.

Can I apply for 3 month while I'm Thailand and not leave? Or do I have to leave, apply, wait, and come back? Can I extend my tourist visa another month, which will give me time for 2 months with funds in account? What is best option?

I appreciate any help or tips that you can offer.

So today I contacted Bangkok Bank in regards to opening an account with a DTV visa, I was told that there are no set rules and it’s all dependant on the specific bank manager in the branch that you try.

She also mentioned that even if one branch refuses to try another as there are DTV holders with bank accounts.
