You won't necessarily even need an exit flight. It'll be down to whichever airline you use. I came in on Thai Airways from Heathrow on a oneway ticket visa exemption. No questions, no issues

If you're married to a thai and have a thai daughter, you should be able to get a 60 day "family" visa

No, you're not eligible for visa on arrival, you are eligible for visa exemption, as in being stamped in for 60 days without any visa

Once you get it translated, make an appointment at the thai passport office on floor 4 at central. For translation, I used a company at the side of Big C, pattaya Klang

IF that happens, apply for a tourist visa before you come and get 60 days. Easier than going to immigration in the middle of your holiday.
