yes we have both been living together for 6 years now and we are still married.

I have transferred 40k baht a months using Wise for over 12 months now.

I was concerned because I read another post about someone changing from a retirement extension to a marriage extension. They said that person had to go to a Thai embassy out of the country to get a non o based on marriage first. But I don't know if I would have to do that since I first came to thailand on a non o based of marriage.

My extension based of retirement is up on the 28th of this month and I want to be prepared in case something comes up.

so he can't even come back unless it is whatever they consider as a urgent situation to see his Thai wife.

Even if he applies at the Washington DC consulate online they will still need his passport right? He can't send it in because he works for the US gvt in Iraq and has to show his passport daily. Looks as though he will just have to wait.
