@Nongnuch *******
yes, I.m beginning to see this now. However, they also offer 90 day Non O visas from the embassy here, but again not sure if that's possible for the OP. I just contacted him by PM.

I told him I.m not sure if he needs a Cambodian address here to apply. I do have a housing lease here, and two bank accounts in Cambodia, so I think the 90 day Non O may be possible for me from here. Would you agree?

I am in a similar situation as you and I am currently living in PP. I was at the Thai embassy in PP at the end of the year to pick up the Non O application. The agent there was pretty distant when I asked him some Qs. However, he did say I would need to show a bank statement, but he wouldnt say how much. I pressume it would be

800,000bt equivalent. I also asked I would need to show a plane ticket out, hotel, etc. He walked away...I do believe the apication there is for a year, at 200$ app fee, not 3 months. You would need to leave every 90 days. This is one reason I.m not sure if I.ll apply. I also recall there is a space for your Cambodian address( along with your home country address)

If you want to PM me, we can have a follow up discussion later. I have the application form stored somewhere.

I curious as I am in Phnom Pehn. To apply for the 2 month TV in Pp, what did you need to show, ie. Bank statement balance, flight ticket out, resevations in hotel, current address in PP,

etc?

Did you get your visa from an agency or do it at the embassy on Monivong?

I.m curious if less is needed if you apply directly at the embassy in PP, rather than with an agent...

Thanks

Hey Brandon, I was just in Thailand from a trip from Cambodia, and was talking to a lawyer agency that does the 5 year elite visas( btw, she confirmed the new 5 yr price is 900,000bt ) Anyway , she did bring up the discussion about income sent into a Thai bank would most likely be taxed if you stay over 180 days. I asked if this included pension income and she could not give me a clear answer, meaning she didn't know either. However, she did send me a tax levy percentage bracket of income brought in. I could forward it to you, however, I won't reply to any other Qs, as not only do I not know the answers, but I am also currently with only limited data traveling.

( I.m sure more will be known later when/if authorities announce it) It was unclear from her if this tax included pension income. For that matter, we were discussing the 5 year elite visa as well when she mentioned this new tax proposal. It also brings up the question that was asked about how they will determine the 180 days; I wish I had asked.

yes thanks...I appreciate your input.

The screen shot showing the application with a Cambodia entry, threw me for a monkey wrench.

Sure, I.m following all the facts on this site, and understand what it takes to get the Non O converted to the retirement visa.

My lack of knowledge was on the 6 month online multiple entry. I know you had to apply for it out of Thailand, but wasnt sure if I could do it from here.

I wanted to make certain if I could get the multiple entry 6 month from here, and people answered it. Like I said, when someone sent the screen shot with Cambodia entered in the address area, it was confusing.

I basically want to get a bank account open in Sept, then return to Cambodia. Then go back to the Usa to transfer money in the account. It would have been great to have the multiple entry visa, but I see it needs to be done from the Usa. My thoughts are that it would be easier to open the bank account with a Tourist visa, rather than a visa exempt....like you said, it is as it is.

Cheers.

@Henrik ****
so...it says

Permanant residency/ Current address

My understanding is am not necessarily a permanant resident here, as I havent registered with the US embassy for example.

Now, I.m confused again with your screen shot. Does this mean that I could still apply forthe 6 month multiple from Cambodia? My understanding is I.d have to apply for it in the USA, and show plane tickets leaving and returning to the USA.

Btw, I do appreciate your energy here. Just not clear if that screen shot entitles me to apply from Cambodia..the only proof of me being here is a housing lease with a Cambodian address. No permenant resident card like the responder from Portugal.

I have not opened the website, so thanks, but the bottom of the screen shot shows this is for a 2 month visa? Am I correct on this? I was hoping to apply for the 6 month multiple.

thanks John. You brought some good insight to the question I orginally posted. Yes, logically if you need to upload the plane tickets leaving from America, and I would have been leaving from Cambodia, it wouldnt work...amazing how a question derails into disputes with others.

Anyway, thanks for that info

is okay Chris.

I.m just going to fly in on a visa exempt in Sept, and try to find an agent to pay, haha, to help me open a bank account there.
