James Stuart Neill I did this exact process when I left the country before Covid and removed my funds. When I returned a couple months later, I deposited the money into a new account because I had closed the old account and they wouldn’t let me reopen it. I used Best Friends Visa in CM for that one year only. I had no issues renewing it on my own the next year.

I had a similar issue with my 800k. It was the only time I used a visa agent and there was no issue.

I had a weird situation with mine as I don’t need to file income taxes, so my last return was 2018 because of a sale of home (that did not get taxed). I wrote an executive summary explaining the paper trail. I gave them income documents from 5 years prior ( beginning and end of year statements) to show the history of non taxed money. They accepted it with no issue. The agent actually commended me on understanding my tax situation.

My friends was stuck in pending for 7 days. Took the advice of someone here (Tod, I think) and cancelled it and reapplied. The acceptance message came on day 3.

I also got my approval in 20 days with the additional wait for the stamp appointment. It was a pretty smooth process.
