when my wife and I returned for a visit in 1981 I was getting better taxi prices, no meters at that time, as she had picked up a accent. That was funny to me but not her. I do miss the old days when you
haggled for almost everything it was a fun era to shop and meet the locals.
I have had some great conversion rates, US Dollar, over the last couple decades to average in with the few not so great years. Exchange Rate Fluctuations are something we should factor in our decision before deciding to live overseas.
I did it a decade ago about 39 K USD for school and parents paid housing and food
and the young lady now works in Australia. She paid her brother tuition to unverusty, and takes cares of her parents. Money well spent BTW I married into the family 50 years ago when I was dirt poor happy I can now assist.
