Has anyone experienced a really long wait for a DTV visa?
I submitted March 3rd. It went to processing pending approval on March 4th. It’s still at that point but I haven’t been asked for anymore documents or any other checks. I’ve emailed the visa centre twice to just be given an automatic response that it can take at least 15 working days but it is way over that. So now Im not sure what to do. It’s Guangzhou Thai embassy I applied from.
Been having a nightmare my son works of shore and had an appointment at London embassy tomorrow, obviously he can’t go cos he is working on oil rig in Jakarta. So he gave me all his documents and asked me to ring and cancel his booking and rearrange it wat sounds quite simple , but no , no one answers phone managed to get threw once and was told he has to do it on line he has emailed but no one got back to him , he has already paid his £300 so he looks like he will loose it . That embassy so frustrating no one answers the phone was ring yesterday from 9 in morning🙄
I'm currently applying for the DTV in KL, and after doing some research, I found out that it's one of the hardest places to apply from since they requested authenticated documents, but the US embassy doesn't authenticate those documents in Malaysia.
I was wondering if it'd be easier to go to another country, like Vietnam, and start the process there. If so, do I have to withdraw my process in KL?
Business day 8 since applying for DTV visa. Went from requesting more docs to pending approval back to pending document check… but I heard this is normal. American using Ho Chi Minh City embassy.
Has anyone been approved with a sponsorship letter from their parents in Laos to be the primary holder of the DTV? To be clear, my parents are not applying for the DTV but they would be sponsoring me.
If not, which countries have success rates with a sponsorship letter? I have a few friends who applied from the US successfully, but I’m already in Southeast Asia. Could I leave Thailand and say I’m in the US to apply? My friends were in Europe but said they were in the US.
