I had a retirement visa that I couldn't renew because I had to leave Thailand for a family emergency.
So I have to apply for a new visa.
I already have the bank account with 800 000 B.
Do you think that immigration office will ask for a recent proof of transfer from overseas ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice regarding the application for a new retirement visa in Thailand after being unable to renew their previous visa due to a family emergency. They have already met the financial requirement of holding 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank account. Responses suggest that while some immigration offices may require recent proof of international fund transfers for new applications, others may not be strict about this requirement. It is recommended to bring any relevant bank documents when applying.

Bring the bank book of when you originally transferred the 800k to Thailand

I had to leave the country and cancel my retirement visa due to some glitch. Came back viss exempt. Applied for Non O . Then got 12 month retirement extension. My bank here always had in excess of the 800K.

You don't mention the office you'd use, you're out nothing by going to your immigration office showing them you previously had a year extension based on retirement, telling them you had to leave and it ran out while you were out of the country and see if you can apply for a new Non-O with the funds you have now.
Definitely update and take your bank book in when you go talk to them about it. I mean face it worst they can say is you have to show proof of international funds origin.

It depends on the office, I hear some do, some dont.
I’m hopefully getting my 90 day non o retirement visa from Thai embassy in London, I’m using The travel visa company in uk, they do all the admin work for you, they informed me that the embassy is getting really strict on applications, so make sure you do everything by the book, after sending all my completed documents/ photos etc to The travel visa Co they informed me that as well as passport face photo (supplied)the embassy now want a selfie face photo to ! and 3 months bank statements also showing your name and address,. It’s supposed to be a 15 (working days) process, but I’ve been told I may have to wait longer,.

I got my O visa based on retirement in Australia. I had to show proof of finances. Extended it in Thailand they were not remotely interested where the money came from. But hey they say each immigration office has its own rules.
I believe when you get the initial 90 day non-O inside Thailand, they want to see the proof, from the bank, of the international transfer. Then for 1yr Extension, they don't ask people for proof of the international transfer again. If you got the initial 90day non-O online before you arrived, you showed the funds in your home bank. Then when you got the 1yr extension inside Thailand, you showed the funds in the Thai bank.

Yes, if you want to apply for an initial in-country Non-O visa based on retirement, you have to prove your funds are internationally transferred. That is in the requirements (police order).
You can also apply for a Non-O single-entry for 90 days in a neighbouring country or before you fly to Thailand, to enter Thailand on it.
