I just read every single comment and I didn’t see a single person say this is “highly unusual”, and the guy who did have an issue was because of Covid testing guidelines and a 48 hour window his test was valid.

Everyone agrees this is standard operating procedure and it makes no sense to not have all your documents for your initial departure whether it’s a domestic flight to an international airport or directly international 🤷‍♂️

This is STV requirement, make sure you’re looking at the right requirements for the right visa.

yea I saw Richard barrow mention that, I’m not too worried and I will also go to an office that will see fewer of the requests. Also will be my first and only possible Covid extension this trip.

Worse case scenario is I’ll have to pay “service fee”, it is thailand after all

A good sign and not the 30 days that was being rumored, my 90 is up in Feb and a Covid extension sure would be easy

yea there’s at least a little bit of sense or reason to the policy so I didn’t question it, just said thank you and left.

And no one seems to have a did I notice answer or source for it being a rule or a hotel policy, which if it is then multiple hotels are using it.

yea I know what it means, mine was exactly the same. After doing 15 nights last year you wouldn’t think one night would be so bad, but after sleeping all day I said fuck it and checked out. Went out for a nice dinner and got a couple errands done.

Now to just see what happens with some of restrictions.
