We just had 12 boxes of personal and household effects into Thailand they actually arrived at our villa today.

We were charged duty tax, the only foreigners that don’t get charged is if you have a work permit

As Todd said we have to do 90 day reporting and even when we were previously on the OA visa not once did we have to show proof of financial requirements to immigration.

The visa is done in Australia who have checked the requirements.

Yes you have to have insurance yearly which doesn’t worry us as we have always had insurance in Thailand
