Update, I went back and turned off airplane mode, made sure sim was enabled, roaming off UK and on my phone, sim active for calls and text, but no network selected. Hay presto I tested a financial institution and I got a text through 👍

I'm on thai data and don't receive bank texts, roaming off, understand if on WiFi and turn on WiFi calling texts work.

but, isn't it logical by reading that other cheaper visas fit a shorter stay and are cheaper!

Or is it that people really do want to manipulate the wording and requirements.

Let's not forget the people that try to undermine a post or forum by asking irrelevant questions just to play devil's advocate.

Some are very silly, others totally incorrect.

I feel Frank is right, he is trying to help and having to wade through the rubbish means they miss a real valid question.

If people can't support the forum, but only criticise for what in reality is asking for help, then those people don't deserve it's support, this forums helpers are the one spending time helping you.
