when you say "entry stamp is with the re-entry permit" you mean "IN LINE/SYNC with re-entry permit ref to dates" and not actually in the same (i.e. old) passport, right ?
yes, but I will have NO letter to show when I enter with a new virgen passport from abroad. Would it still be feasible to enter with the NEW passport and show the extention/reentry from the OLD passport and get stamped in until the end of the extention? Can the extention later be transferred to the new passport WITHOUT the letter ? Thank you.
the passport will NOT come with a letter that it is a replacement. How does that change the approach? Would it be easier to get the passport in Thailand from the embassy instead of from abroad ?
What I can not find is an option to print or create a decent confirmation. I just can take a cumbersome screenshot of the info which has name, passport number, start date and gender.
