I forgot to do the 90 day report for my daughter - it expired on January 20. She is only 4.5 years old and I have a new born in the house. Where do I go to do it and what is the penalty?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user forgot to submit a 90-day report for their daughter, who is 4.5 years old. The report expired on January 20, and they are inquiring about where to submit the late report and potential penalties. Comments indicate that in Bangkok, the report can be submitted at the main immigration office on Chaengwattana Road, specifically in Section A. The penalty for a late report is a flat fee of 2000 baht, regardless of how many days late it is. It is advised to submit the report as soon as possible to show intention, although there is no increase in penalty for delaying submission.

I would say do it now to show that you wanted to do it but couldn’t. Just leaving it sends the wrong signals IMHO.

2000B fine if you do it now or do it when it's next due, no difference except one more visit to the Immigration Office so, as Thais say, up to you

doing it now give you peace of mind.

in bangkok you do a 90 day report at the main immigration office at the government complex Building B out on Chaengwattana Road

You want Section A, the fine is 2000baht whether you're 8 days late or 8 months late it doesn't go up any.

You can wait as long as you want (as long as you file a 90 day report before their next extension comes due. The fine will be the same 2000baht

Are children fined for not doing a 90-day report? Mine has never done one (in 7 years) and it's never been mentioned when extending his Extension.

that they haven't done one doesn't mean they shouldn't and they should show they're 90 day reporting to get their extensions. Dunno why

I had always assumed that as kids were exempt from fines for visa overstays, the same would apply to fines for not doing 90-day reporting. Anyway, I guess the worst that can happen is it will be brought up at one extension and Dad will have to pay 2,000 baht!

i think it's more a "once you start you're hooked into doing it" sort of thing, you've said you've never done it and it doesn't cause a problem.

And you're right worst case you are called on it when you apply for their next extension, you pay the 2000baht failure to file on time fine, you file a 90 day report and you get the extension. In your case I wouldn't do ANYTHING until they call you out on it (which they may or may not ever do) 😛
