If your home country does e-visa, you can apply from anywhere... A few people have done it. Just apply online meeting all the requirements... Some documents may be hard to do remotely like background check...

If you are issued the evisa, you will still need to do a visa run to switch to it, completing all the entry requirements again.

Should be fairly easy to open an account on ED. Most branches will want passport, resident certificates (immigration or your embassy), and a letter from your school. It's always hit or miss, but most should accept you with that paperwork. SCB would be difficult, Bangkok Bank probably the easiest (even on tourist visa). K Bank considered the best and have the most atms in bkk. I am krungthai, opened on Ed, pretty happy with them... Their branches are not as busy at k Bank, but fewer atms, but I can use atm fee free so no big deal.

Possibly neither... Did you get the slip telling you when to report?

I came in visa visa exempt and then inked ED in at div 1. I did not start the 90 day reporting period until my first extension of the ED. This is when I got the white slip of paper from. Immigration telling me when first report was due.

This was confirm with Todd too, as it confused me.

I attend ALA, in trendy building, Sukhumvit 13. I recommend them if you are interested in learning Thai and legitimate visa.. Which means study every day.

Not sure if things are the same.. I used the stv before in 2021. They also required the completion certificate of Asq and a receipt showing I had paid for it. Not sure if they still require proof of your entry scheme completion.. Best to get a copy of it.

Insurance and accommodation are required for stv extension. Tm30 is also good to have handy.
