As others have mentioned, the booking sites cite cheaper Sunday night through midweek rates. Even within those days, there is fluxuation. And Fri, Sat nights are invariably highest.
Not true. We use the metric system when we feel like it. Which includes how we measure engine displacement, buy soda, dispense medicine, bill our electricity, and a whole slew of other conventions. But we never forced it down our people's throats and are doing quite fine, thank you. When the other counties of the world can create jobs like America's, they can laugh. Until then, they can enjoy their sclerosis and mind their own business.
Not even bothering to chuckle. Not worth it. But I will edify you for free. "Normal countries write day/month/year..." Baloney. No such thing as a "normal country." The Chinese, one fourth of the world right there, write the date starting with the year. As do the Japanese. As do the Koreans. As do the Taiwanese, etc., etc. But in the end, it's each culture's prerogative and nobody cares what somebody else does. I certainly couldn't care less how Brits do it. Only those obsessed with America and letting their inferiority complex get the best of them feel compelled to deride someone else's custom.
