How can I navigate the TDAC application for transiting through Suvarnabhumi Airport?

Just want to thank Thailand Visa Advice for their free assistance with the TDAC application. I will be transiting through Suvarnabhumi in a few days, but bought the two legs of my journey separately and expect I'll have to pass through immigration and customs before checking in for next flight and different carrier. Was getting hung up on checking the box that I'm a transiting passenger. The official form wouldn't let me select that nor allow me to advance on the application. Reached out to Thailand Visa Advice to take them up on their standing offer of free assistance with this form and it couldn't have been more painless.❤️ About 5 minutes later I was approved and downloaded my QR code. Awesome and very grateful!!

If they do, you often can get your baggage checked through, you need to ask when you check-in to your first flight. Which means that in Bangkok you stay airside in the transit area, just walk from the international terminal to the domestic terminal and enter Thailand through a special Immigration desk along this route. Your baggage then will only need to pass customs at the final destination airport

Ah, that's the ticket.👍 I'll look into if they codeshare or not. Unfortunately, just my first leg into BKK is on the cheapo Thai VietJet. Not sure if they are in any agreements. But the rest of my journey back to the States is with Philippine Airlines.Greg ***********

so, I guess you do not even ENTER Thailand, which makes a TDAC unnecessary, because you will not enter Thailand if your baggage gets checked through - you will remain airside in the international transit areaJoseph ****

I do hope that's the case. But I'm guessing it's not and that I'll have to clear imm. and customs. Let me look now to see if Thai VietJet and Philippine Air codeshare...PS: All flights are through Suvarnabhumi.

the downside might be that you don't arrive at the same Bangkok Airport where your connecting flights arrives. Thai VietJet arrives at the BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport, and they got codeshare agreements with many other airlines. Philippine Airlines definitely depart from Suvarnabhumi . . . You need to exchange a few emails with themPete *******

I did it easily back in August. But the darn program wouldn't let me get passed that one part, today. Anyway, Thai Visa Center took it from there and got me sorted in minutes flat. So... can I say I had a happy ending?😂Joseph ****
