Entering on exemption stamps has been abused for way too long. They're cracking down on it for the fact that visas actually generate money for the government. Pay for the privilege to be here. Because nobody is guaranteed entry, except Thai natives. Immigration officers don't HAVE to let you in, even with a visa, but you're highly unlikely to be turned away with a visa. If they typed up a memo attached to your passport number, you'll be lucky to get in again without a proper visa. There may not be an official LIMIT to entries by air, or days spent in the kingdom, BUT there's also no official ALLOWANCE either.

I try. Unfortunately, not much makes sense at the immigration desks anymore. You'll be fine, until they actually tell you, in person, to get a visa, I wouldn't change your plans, as long as you have an exit flight already booked

Most are hearing this from actual immigration agents at the airport. I personally was told get a visa next time, or you're not coming back in.(all my in and outs by air) I got the visa, then after a few trips was questioned as to why I spend so much time here...uh, because I can, according to the visa lol. In most cases, people coming, like you are, minimal stays, a few times a year, and HAVE an exit ticket, they don't give too much of a second look. For those staying for longer periods of time, and coming very often, with short times between exit and entrance, you would be doing yourself a favor to get a visa. Nobody is guaranteed entry, under any circumstances, unless they are a Thai native. There is a lot of conflicting information, and stories, that continue to confuse everyone. In reality, both ends are telling the truth, based off their personal experience with immigration agents.

I think it's a little warm for a blanket

very plausible. I thought it was a numbers game going into this. So wasn't surprised it was denied. Just the way it was is what bothered me

they are Americans doing the interview. But I'm fully aware of all the other stuff. The tourist visa has been abused too much, and is tough to get. I get it, and knew it was slim chance. But damn, give her enough time in the air conditioning to enjoy it lol. Less than a minute, and denied?? Only makes sense if the decision was already made. Which is the point I was making. But we shall try again

I agree. But in this instance there's zero chance of it, due to she knew the exact dates and knows exactly what I do. Unless she couldn't remember what she does for work lol

ironically, it is supposedly helpful to apply for tourist visa to the u.s. if your other half is not American. My friend's wife got asked same 3 questions and was approved in same amount of time. Only difference really, is he's not an american

I'm not saying they're aren't any. I'm saying for the majority that got denied, this is highly plausible. While waiting for her interviewer, she saw one person approved for their visa, that wasn't there with a school. So no telling what their visa type was either tho. Everyone the interviewer spoke to before her, was denied, almost in the same amount of time as her

I agree it's a numbers game. But the three questions were all easily answered, same as it was before the interview. What's your bf do for work, what you do for work, and how long you plan to stay...zero chance to answer those incorrectly
