If you're Visa Exempt you get 30 days

If you're looking to extend your say ,you need to apply at the

Immigration office for the visa ,normally 30 days. Make sure your passport is up-to-date and you will need to fill another 3 forms you will be directed there.

A passport photo is needed to complete your application there's a kiosk nearby by

4 photos for 100 baht.

Now here's the CRUNCH LINE from my experience.I had booked paid hotel accommodation which they just casually looked at...the Immigration officer said you need to show a private persons details that can be contacted

Luckily i had my girlfriend's details which they accepted and stamped my form to proceed to get a visa

1900 baht cash only

the officer wasn't interested in flight departures

Always be polite and patient otherwise you could be in for a very bad day

I've had a Thai girlfriend for 17 years, 25 years younger than me we have no children between us.

I just did my 30 day Visa extension.

Don't bother with a on-line appappointment like i did that was a waste of time and effort.

Like others say just go early and make sure you have a persons address in Thailand or they won't proceed with your application.

I had booked hotel accommodation and they wanted to see but not really interested in that ??

You can get 4 passport photos for 100 baht in the print shop next to the Immigration office.

Once they have checked and stamped your application they will give you a numbered card with your group number

Take a seat and wait for your group to be called

Go in take a seat wait for YOUR NUMBER to be called.

They didn't ask me any questions and just had to pay the 1900 baht fee in CASH.

You have your photo taken then told to go out in the waiting area until your number is recalled, your passport is returned, make sure they have added the visa extension, some times they get in wrong.

Apart from that its easy

I just did my 30 day visa extension yesterday at a local Immigration office.

You need to fill out 3 forms TM 30 and 2 others that just keep asking you the same questions over again, and your signature every where.

At the first stage of the process they asked for hotel accommodation which i had, then said i had to show name address of guarantee of someone in Thailand.

Luckily i had those details .

Now get this they then

correction fluid out all the hotel details and wrote in all my friends details..

I asked about this, they replied if you don't have this information we can't process your visa.

By the way you might as well nail your passport to your head

It's passport crazy.

When you get called in for your visa interview again passport and completed documents.

Then told look into the camera to match your photo in your passport.

No questions asked.

Next pay in cash ONLY

1900 baht for you 30 days extension.

Next go outside and wait until your number is called, collect your passport check before you leave your updated visa date.

They didn't ask about departure flights

BUT make sure you leave before your visa expires otherwise you will be detained at departure Immigration and been in for a bad bad long day

Just look now at the huge crowds at the

Immigration Offices.

If you're going to go, go early and have all your documents and make sure your PASSPORT is up-to-date.

There crazy must have PASSPORT for everything just to get a phone sim card.!!

Mmm could be tricky just arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport

last night..just a point here if you're elderly or have some form impairment they let you go through the Priority lane for Foreigners.

My point here is the couple in front of me we're arguing that there documents we're all in order when the Immigration officer said NO and passport stamped Red denied entry and we're promptly escorted out of the Airport...

As i was next here's probably not in a good mood..

but no he just checked and stamp my passport

did the usual things..finger prints ..facial shot and then said have nice holiday in Thailand.

This took less than 5 minutes..

It's a bit long windinded i know but my point here to all is make doubly sure your documents are all in order

Looking for some advice about applying for a 30 day Visa extension

I've got time to early May to do the extension.

Im looking for a Immigration office in the Bangkok area that people here who have dealt with a minimum of fuss and can speak and understand English.

Can i complete the blank Thai Embassy forms that I've got from the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra ACT Australia at their office with some help from their staff ??

Question 17 asks for

Proposed address in Thailand..

Im staying with my Thai girlfriend can i use her address to answer this question..

This might help the situation..a couple years ago my marriage broke up when my wife said she's leaving the marriage to go find herself..what!!! ..i said you live here darling..no no she said i need to go find myself...i think this is a new age of thinking or she's off her medication..why do i always get the shitting end of the stick

I've helped them out by filing a missing person's report on them at the local cop shop...he got a bit pissed of with me when I couldn't up give him any details about her...i did hear him say to another officer that i sounded like the lost village idiot..im lucky im not to thick skinned..otherwise i would have told him to go find himself..im expecting a phone call from your wife somewhere soon..every little bit helps..

Im a bit worried now after speaking with your wife. She doesn't know where she is either.

She met this guy somewhere,who didn't know where he lived either but he did have this neat party trick where he could turn water into wine after a couple of days this they woked up feeling like shit not knowing where the in fuc**ked they where, to clear their heads they smoked some dope and came up with this rather clever idea to put up wanted posters..find my location.

This is like trying to exit a Aldi store..just going around and around.
