How long should I expect for my visa application process in Thailand?

Hi, can I ask if anyone has gone thru the same.. I have applied for a visa and it’s my first time. It’s just for 6 days and I sent my application 31/3 travelling on the 10/5. They sent me back my passport without a visa after 10 days and no letter or anything. I’ve emailed them and yes they’ve called me twice but I missed it. I tried to call back a minute after but no one answered. I’m just worried.

I’m currently waiting for them to reply me on email which I doubt that they will soon reply since they are on holiday til Monday to know if I’m missing any documents which I don’t think so and what I should do next.

How long does it normally take for a visa to be approved? Or basically the duration of the process?

Sorry for the long post and thank you for reading 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is anxious about their visa status after their application was returned without a visa, just days before their trip. They are awaiting a response regarding any missing documents while seeking advice from the community on average visa processing times and outcomes for short stays. Comments suggest that a 6-day visit typically does not require a visa, as a 30-day stamp can be obtained upon arrival in Thailand. Additional advice includes trying alternate communication methods with the visa office.

Mmm could be tricky just arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport

last night..just a point here if you're elderly or have some form impairment they let you go through the Priority lane for Foreigners.

My point here is the couple in front of me we're arguing that there documents we're all in order when the Immigration officer said NO and passport stamped Red denied entry and we're promptly escorted out of the Airport...

As i was next here's probably not in a good mood..

but no he just checked and stamp my passport

did the usual things..finger prints ..facial shot and then said have nice holiday in Thailand.

This took less than 5 minutes..

It's a bit long windinded i know but my point here to all is make doubly sure your documents are all in order

Cheers

hi Jan, I’m holding an ICI- international certificate of identity of Brunei Darussalam ie Brunei Resident. I’m not a citizen hence they called it ICI document which looks like a passport. I applied in Perth and sent it to Sydney.

@Deborah ****
I think you would better (if you did not do that already) contact the ICI issuing authority (in Brunei) and ask: If you can travel to Thailand with this document, if you need a visa and where you should apply if you need one.

Brunei has a Royal Thai Embassy they might also clarify:

I do not know if you can even apply in Australia.

I don't think you need a visa for 6 days you will get 30 day stamp at immigration when you land in Thailand

thank you Brandon! This is so helpful but unfortunately I am not a citizen of my own country 😢 I am just a resident hence they call my passport an ICI (international certificate of identity) so I’m not to sure where to look for that. Everywhere states citizen

@Deborah ****
you must have citizenship somewhere. If you can't find that country in the list then you require a visa.

Yes they used to call it stateless but not anymore. They’ve changed it to residents of BD. We still don’t have passports but we have travel document.

Try messaging them on Facebook messenger. They tend to reply better there than email.
