Hi,

I'm Canadian. I entered visa-exempt and need a 30 day extension. I know I need to go to IT square laksi plaza immigration. Can I just show up or do I need to make an appointment online.

The online appointments are fully booked in the next few weeks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a Canadian entering Thailand with a visa exemption, you can obtain a 30-day extension without needing an online appointment, although it's recommended to arrive early due to limited queue numbers (300 per day). It's best to avoid lunchtime and be prepared to wait for 1-3 hours. Bring necessary documents, including your TM30 form and digital passport photos, which can be acquired at a print shop near the immigration office. You will need to pay a fee (1900 baht) in cash when your application is processed.

I just did my 30 day Visa extension.

Don't bother with a on-line appappointment like i did that was a waste of time and effort.

Like others say just go early and make sure you have a persons address in Thailand or they won't proceed with your application.

I had booked hotel accommodation and they wanted to see but not really interested in that ??

You can get 4 passport photos for 100 baht in the print shop next to the Immigration office.

Once they have checked and stamped your application they will give you a numbered card with your group number

Take a seat and wait for your group to be called

Go in take a seat wait for YOUR NUMBER to be called.

They didn't ask me any questions and just had to pay the 1900 baht fee in CASH.

You have your photo taken then told to go out in the waiting area until your number is recalled, your passport is returned, make sure they have added the visa extension, some times they get in wrong.

Apart from that its easy

Hope this information helps all.

You can just show up. I normally get there around 9-9:30 and I'm in and out in under 30 minutes. Don't go near lunchtime as they close for an hour, also it's normally a lot busier in the afternoon.

You're not required to have an appointment, but try to show up early. They only hand out 300 queue per day
