Technically, you should extend in Samut Prakan. Practically, some people would go Chaengwatthana because they require nothing else but the form, pic and money. But they would write down some Bangkok address on the form. Just not sure if Samut Prakan requires proof of address, frankly I am lazy to search ThaiVisa for this now, the OP could do this as well.

Right well Samrong BTS is not in Bangkok. It's in Samut Prakan.

Should you choose to extend at Chaengwatthana, you need to declare a Bangkok address.

Should you choose to extend at Samut Prakan, proof of address may be required, but maybe
@Tod ********
can weigh in on this.

Charles Campbell Sorry for the delay man but suggestions keep coming up in my head.

Be aware that any person that spends more than 90 days consecutively in Thailand has to do a 90 day report.

Now I understand you entered Thailand on January 11th. 90 day reports can be made 15 days before or 7 days after the 90 day deadline. You could not have made a 90 day report on the March 19th on your last visit to Immigration when you got the 60 day extension because it was too early to report.

So you should have made a 90 day report somewhere between March 27th up to April 18th.

Have you done that?

If yes, fantastic.

If no, next time you interact with local Immigration to get an extension, you will be fined 2,000 baht.

Obviously, if you only get 90 day permissions of stay that you never extend, and do border runs, a 90 day report will never be needed. But on this occasion, you are staying 90+60=150 days.

And also to add on on what I have said, since ANY 90 day permission of stay can be extended for either 60 days (visit thai wife) or 12 months (marriage), you will also have the option to extend your next 90 day stay should you wish to do so, for 60 days, for the purpose of visiting Thai wife, the same way you have done it so far, once.

God I have been reading this thread and if I was the OP i would be confused.

To the OP.

You have a multiple entry non O visa valid for 12 months. That means you are allowed to enter Thailand as many times as you wish during those 12 months. Every time you enter Thailand you receive a permission of stay of 90 days. At the end of that permission to stay, you either need to exit Thailand or extend your permission of stay.

In the first circumstance, what some people choose to do is border runs. That means, you exit Thailand and reenter, and upon reentry, you will be given a new permission to stay of 90 days.

Now, any 90 day permission of stay for the type of visa you are on can be extended at local Immigration for 2 reasons:

- for the purpose of visiting Thai wife - 2 month extension

- for the purpose of marriage - 12 month extension

Supporting documents are required.

Now, OP, when you last entered Thailand, you have been granted a permission of stay of 90 days, that you have extended at local Immigration for another 60 days for the purpose of visiting Thai wife.

Note that at this stage, a further extension for the purpose of visiting Thai wife is not possible anymore, you are limited at one 60 day extension per 90 day permission of stay.

So your options are:

Leave on or before June 10th, and upon reentry receive a new permission of stay of 90 days.

Extend your current permission of stay for 12 months at local Immigration for the purpose of marriage with the supporting documents and funds required.

Tod Daniels yeah absolutely, non O-A requires the criminal check in one's country. I was referring to Thai Elite only.
Luke ******
Tod Daniels I am happy you said "most likely", so I will copy you on that. In the case of Thai Elite, RTP is most likely limited to checking one's criminal record locally in Thailand and at best the Interpol database for any arrest warrants outstanding. I do not see how they would identify criminal records of people in some 180 countries.
Luke ******
A 90 day report is necessary only when someone spends 90 consecutive days in the country. Once you exit, the count resets and starts again from 1 when you reenter.
Luke ******
No, a single entry tourist visa allows upon entry a permission of stay of 60 days, extendable one time for another 30 days at local Immigration. After that, one can apply for an extension of stay that gets refused, still charged 1,900 baht, and given 7 days to leave the country.

I would not advise the latter for the potential flags it may raise with Immigration on future entries (i.e. having an extension denied stamp in the passport).
